Proxy voting is a great way for smaller shareholders to be able to compete with Whales. If us small fish align around certain values and certain voting proxies than our voices can be better heard.

It's really just a public service. I don't think that the voter proxy gains much besides a good reputation in the community. But of course, good reputation can be leveraged into $$$ in the future in all kinds of ways.

well trezor will prob take longer though, but you won't need it because EOS New York is making a dedicated Hardware wallet called EOS Bridge

And also Block One is working on a dedicated Hardware Wallet for the iPhone that uses the Apple Secure Enclave to keep your private keys safe

Yes you need RAM, at least 8KB per account is recommended. Airgrabs for example take up space in RAM, and many projects are using Airgrabs now where you have to pay for the RAM needed for them to Airdrop tokens onto your account.

Lots of places. You can buy RAM in Greymass Wallet and now I use bloks.io to Buy RAM. Super easy. All you need is about 0.5 to 1 EOS worth of RAM per account.

I agree with you, but I see the BP rewards these BPs make as being the much lesser problem. BPs with shadowy owners and connections, rumors and innuendo about where their allegiences lie lead to a credibility issue for EOS. Large multi-billion dollar companies cannot move onto EOS without full understanding about the foundation to which they are about to entrust the running of their business - some could say that would be gorss incompetence of that company's directors, and stake holders may severly question such a move.

Yes, maybe you're right. It's still really hard to imagine all the inns-and-outs of how everything will fit in with everything else. Maybe the mainet was always only really for smaller bussinesses to utilise and it was expected the the multi-billion dollar ones would set up their own EOSIO chain....who knows.

I have my account set up like this: I use a alarm bot to notify me of any activity on my account name. @EOSAlarmEBot Owner permission has a private key / Public key (cold storage, paperwallet, safety deposit box buried 6 feet deep) Active permission has a separate keypair (used for everyday activities connecting to dapps etc etc) If my everyday activities (ACTIVE keys) ever get me in trouble and my keys are compromised, I can dig up my owner keys and "change the locks" on my active permission. (https://eostoolkit.io/account/permissions) If you have your tokens STAKED then you have the added security of 3 days (72 hours) to change your keys before a hacker can move your tokens off your account.

So short answer is yes. Most projects have been dropping to the genesis snapshot, but more and more upcoming projects will take newer snapshots when they do airdrops.

I agree with you, but I see the BP rewards these BPs make as being the much lesser problem. BPs with shadowy owners and connections, rumors and innuendo about where their allegiences lie, lead to a credibility issue for EOS. Large multi-billion dollar companies cannot move onto EOS without full understanding about the foundation to which they are about to entrust the running of their business - some could say that would be gross incompetence of that company's directors, and stake holders may severly question such a move.

CPU and net is your "gas allowance"... the more CPU you have you have staked the more actions you can do at once. it's your share of the networks processing power. once you've exhausted your CPU allowance you can simply wait for it to regenerate at no cost, or you can stake more if you need to do something urgently RAM is used to store information on smart contracts you interact with
