yes

The block producer candidates are working on a fallback solution for people who didn't register their wallets on time. Have you made an outgoing transaction from your address before the tokens were frozen? It can be any transaction, not just eos related stuff. If there wasn't, the fallback won't work for you. You might be able to get your eos from a pool of tokens set up in the genesis block through arbitration, but you'll probably have to wait quite some time. Only when it is formally announced safe by multiple trusted Block Producer Candidates should you attempt to go through with the fallback solution. Best to wait for now until more info is provided by the BPs and try and not do anything drastic like give out your keys. Best of luck.

I feel that besides blockproduces comunity has to be able to vote as well for go or nogo. I feel the correct way of doing this is letting community to vote for their favorite BP's and letting those BP's which have most votes to have highest weight on their Go or No Go descisions.

EOS version 1.0.2 is expected to be released soon fixing some major bugs and giving the option to disable certain features until they have been fully tested. This is another reason why some BPs have opted to wait and not launch yet and I think that's a responsible and prudent bahvior.

I agree they didn’t voice their concerns as best as they could’ve but this is the beginning of something massive for everyone involved. I’m sure they’ll be better prepared tonight. They’ve started working on that, with validating everyone who will be attending and only allowing one vote from each BP group. I want to GO as much as the next guy but we have to go through with the plan that was set out, that there would be a vote and the decision would be respected. I don’t believe it’ll be much longer but damn, we’ve got this far so try and have some patience guys.

I have been thinking about the "will EOS dump or rocket" scenario... So, we know that at least 99.7% of tokens were registered including Exchanges. An estimated 30% of those are in exchanges (so can be dumped). The rest - are locked in the EOS chain currently, that no1 has a useable wallet for. So most people will hold until we have a 100% safe way to use our private key to access. That means even if they do dump, it wont be a large amount - and the most will be held. So anyone that is FOMOing waiting for the mainnet release should pickup those 30% dumped pretty quickly... so, in Mr Larimer and teams infinite wisdom - not only have they created the perfect ico, the ideal FOMO situation, the constant free airdrops from launch to keep you hodling - but have also made it resonably complicated/worrying to not hodl.

This allows them to continue trading and they’ve suspended withdrawals and deposits until the swap. So you’re essentially getting the EOS from their registered wallet when you withdraw again.

Hello there, I need some help from you please!!! I've done the mapping on March this year on myetherwallet connected to my Ledger Nano S. I remember having checked that has been done correctly and everything was Ok (the EOS address came under the String after inputing the ETH address) I tried to send my EOS to another Nano wallet 4 days ago, but they are stuck on this wallet (transfer failed): Txt: 0xa569852641f62640f8ebb46fd6c01852634f0be5859cb5fd862a5e119a75ffe8 I went to check back again the mapping but now when I input the ETH wallet, the String is coming blank, the EOS address that I have registered is not coming up anymore: EOS6Ygyz177qAx2bS9oWz24bjWys92W1rSvQG7gd94Fj5KHsb7DQL I still have the Private Keys for this EOS address. And I can still see the EOS tokens on my actual ETH wallet: 0xf053105DEd36296b0Cb9dBc17E3686bD51f378Da I contacted Ledger on this regard and they told me to get back to you since they don't know what the problem is. There should be a way to help those token holders that for a technical glitch have been left behind. The fact that EOS has moved blockchain is not a reason for token holders to have lost their money. I don't know what caused the technical problem but someone has to be accountable for it. I just cannot accept having lost my tokens at Meow!!! Please advise what can I do to retrieve my tokens!! Thank you!!!

Those won’t be unfrozen, they were just used for the snapshot and are useless now. Wallets are still being developed but Scatter seems to be a community favourite at the moment. If your ETH address didn’t get registered, there is a backup method to still claim the EOS. You need the ETH address private key to claim them. If your address is on a Nano Ledger than getting the private key is a bit of a hassle, but definitely doable. All of this can happen after the main net is launched in a few days, and there will be blogs and tutorials about the process.

No. The mapping was not done correctly because you did the mapping from the new ETH address but the tokens are still in the old ETH address. However, the BP candidates have created a backup method to receive the tokens anyway. You need the private key from the ETHEREUM wallet address that still has the tokens. I’ll be voting on if a BP has the capability and passion for delivering what’s best for the whole echo system, not that they voted yes or no. They would have had their reasons for whatever they voted for. I agree that they didn’t voice their concerns as best as they could’ve but this is the beginning of something massive for everyone involved. I’m sure they’ll be better prepared tonight. They’ve started working on that, with validating everyone who will be attending and only allowing one vote from each BP group. I want a GO result as much as the next guy but we have to go through with the plan that was set out, that there would be a vote and the decision would be respected. I don’t believe it’ll be much longer but damn, we’ve got this far so try and have some patience guys. The new dawn is coming.

You need to wait for the EOS mainnet to go live before you could resume normal trading, only difference this time is that you would be trading the actual EOS coins and no longer the EOS ERC-20 tokens which acted as a placeholder during the ICO phase on the ETH blockchain.

If you haven't registered them and are not on exchange that supports the swap, then you will have to wait for the fallback option to go live. By the way, your coins are never on any wallet, they are always on the exchange, your private keys are in the wallet. The EOS ERC-20 tokens are on the Ethereum blockchain. If you hold less than 100, you would have missed some airdrops anyway. Many more airdrops to come nonetheless after the launch of the mainnet.

Who gets the newly printed tokens if that's what they do???

People who have invested in the EOS ICO and have registered their ETH wallet address have been included in the genesis snapshot and will therefore get the EOS coins on the EOS mainnet when it goes live.

No one will be issuing more tokens at this stage. New tokens will come to existence in the future as part of inflation.

They're working on a fallback option, but owners must take an action to claim them otherwise they may be lost forever I believe.

They're not frozen as in you cannot move them, they are simply useless now since they were placeholders for the real EOS coins on the EOS mainnet.

if the exchange doesn't want to honour your exchange EOS holdings for airdrops, they'll keep them all for themselves.. I guess this is why they said they'll support EOS ERC20 token swaps.
