It's entirely up to the individual airdrop. They should be able to snapshot the EOS network once it's live. The erc20 snapshot will not change from last week, I'm pretty sure the contract locked the tokens last week before the snapshot was taken

if you registered them properly you should have a new eos public/private keypair already. you could just wait and airdrops will just be sent there. when you want to move the tokens or vote you can use any of the new eos wallets, e.g. scatter to manage the private key

Mate seems like you lack a lot of knowledge about crypto. Snapshots are taken when some of projects are leaving one blockchain and moving to other or their own. For example until now, eos is ERC-20 token that means eos was working on ethereum blockchain. Many people have their tokens in different exchanges and many have their tokens saved on erc-20 compatible wallet for example myetherwallet, metamask etc etc. Now eos said, they are launching their own main net and moving all the eos which are now erc20 token to their own main net. But most of people have their tokens on myetherwallet... these tokens will be useless after sometime. So now eos company has to move the tokens to right place that is to their own very main net blockchain. So thats why they took a snapshot to have a proof who holds how many tokens. For example I hold 1000 eos on myetherwallet. In their snapshot, my address shows i have 1000 tokens so they can compensate me with new 1000 real tokens. You said if every ico take snapshots .. answer is NO. Snapshot is taken only rare cases or whenever it is required to move token from 1 place to another

It’s okay to be paranoid about entering your private key somewhere, that makes a lot of sense. But at some point the system needs access to it somehow. Otherwise you can’t “sign” a transaction with it and thus prove that the transaction actually came from you. Scatter is meant to be a secure private key store to allow signing transactions. Yes, you will have to trust Scatter, but the code is open source and it’s the number one tool for the community, if there would have been mischief with it it would have been pointed out already. In the future maybe it will have support for “cold wallets” where the private key never leaves that device and scatter might send the transaction there to get it signed, but that’s not on the horizon any time yet.

There are multiple methods of how you could do it.But play it safe. Via vpn generate some eos keys (use the official site) Wait for mainnet to be fully complete Send 1 eos to your privite keys. My question was, I doubled up on EOS yesterday on Binance and I would like to be eligible for the doubling up of Airdrops as well. That is why I asked. I assume from now on, projects that will airdrop on EOS mainnet will look at the amount of EOS held in EOS wallet at that specific time, thus receiving that amount of airdrops. Meaning I can transfer my EOS to Binance maybe next week, and from that moment the airdrops I receive will be based on the new amount of EOS in my wallet.

EOS is the first crypto that will eventually meet the supply/demand pricing based on its actual value. But that won't happen in the hype following the launch. I predict it will surge beyond value, dump due to profit taking, (and low dapp demand) and continue to repeat this cycle until the dapps grow exponentially like the Apple App Store did. That adoption could well bring on $300-$1000 pricing.

You have to take into account that dapps will stake tokens. For example. Everpedia has to stake a large amount of tokens and more as they gain popularity which will in turn make the tokens scarce in due time.
