Android security is pretty inferior to Apple. At my company when an employee doesn’t disable find my iphone it’s a process so lengthy to get it unlocked that it’s normally not worth it and you have to prove absolute ownership. And we’re a 25BN company.

Yeah, you can bid for EOS premium account names, let say you have an dApp called "Pets", you can then buy the ".Pets" EOS premium account name, and your dApp will now own that forever (or you can sell it). Then all your dApp user's account names can end with ".Pets", like "Jim.Pets", "Melissa.Pets" asf.

How rapidly do you think the BPs can upgrade the RAM? Doesn't it require all the top 21 to agree on it first? On top of customer acquisition costs you need to pay for RAM, and as te user base grow so does the RAM price but when BPs add more RAM the price goes down. So the dApps built on EOS needs to consider the uncertainties and limitations of resources.

@daniellarimer i understand wanting to incentivize the use of tokens. but "use it or lose it" seems incredibly extreme and will be a massive source of ongoing FUD. i can see unstaking someone's tokens...and maybe auctioning off their account names. but actually seizing their tokens? i think that is going to be untenable.

You tokens are never transferred to your wallet, it's always on the blockchain. Think of the private key in you wallet as the password to you online bank account, and the public key as your bank account number.

No, they are not transferred anywhere. It's just an user interface like a digital wallet. From that wallet you can transfer to others or you can vote for block producers or unstake your tokens.

No it hasn't. deposits and withdrawls of EOS has been on lockdown, which is a decksion of the exchanges and has absolutely nothing to do with Dan or block.one. I totally agree with this - but how was it unclear for arbitrators that after the initial account suspension they need to be very careful with this.. and not write some shit like “will provide reasons later” .. we are back into manipulation land..

In their defense, the accounts aren't frozen permanently. The interim ruling makes sense given the investigation may need further clarification. The alternative would be NO information or NO ruling/freezing which could make resolution even more difficult.

This is a temporary and self correcting situation. I think that many BPs who are running lean will now be able to build on bare metal infrastructure. I mean now that they are producing blocks and have revenue. There are many great teams however not reaching that 0.5% threshold so voting for 30 BP candidates and spreading the love is essential for spreading the BP rewards and maintaining a strong and decentralized mainnet.

EOSIO is different than other platforms, because at layer 1 it really isn’t intended for those who are technically challenged. So if a technically challenged individual is chilling in Layer 1, they need to understand, it will be challenging for them.
