You can use a bip39 key generator tool like https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ . If you use the eoskey.io tool to convert your ethereum private key to an eos one you will need to remove the "0x" prefix which the bip39 tool gave you. Scatter can convert also. Do need help?

Absolutely. Why are people whingeing when there are so many options? Which ethereum wallets do they use? Third party one's by any chance? The ones we have on offer have been developed by trustworthy groups with history and reputation. Block producers have recommended wallets.. It's bloody simple. Each EOS token you hold entitles you to 30 mutually exclusive votes. This means you can vote for up to 30 different Block Producers with each token; however, you cannot cast multiple votes to the same Block Producer with the same token. I agree that there are good options which people needn't be so concerned about using. Many people assume that I'm a representative of block.one in some way, but I have no ties with them. I'm hesitant to explicitly recommend things in case it's taken as an official endorsement. It's also awkward because there are so many things to consider. It's not realistic to say everyone should do things in the same way. Some people are dealing with a few dollars, some with many millions. Some have spare machines, others have just a laptop. Technical abilities and knowledge vary. Some tools are more safe if you know how to use them, but more insecure if you don't (do people know how to create a secure working environment and verify software?). There's always a sweet spot between security and convenience, and the relationship between the two isn't linear. There are diminishing returns as you take extra steps towards greater security, and it's not possible to be 100% secure. Realistically most people could pick one of the better known eos wallets and use it, with airgapping being overkill. I guess that many people who'd want to do stuff like airgapping would tend to be more able to do it.

Voting is now taken place and once 15% of the tokens that have been staked for voting is reached then the mainnet will be fully open. After this you’ll be able to view your native EOS on a native EOS wallet. Now, please chill as you’re starting to give me a headache now.

But initially with the voting process nobody from block1 endorsed any credible voting place, so it's not hard to see people's frustration with it

But that was what they where stating from the beginning - they wont' in any way support start of a net - this is the duty of the community - and there is no way to know ahead if ever an net will be launched, and if this net will convert the tokens... So B1 is exactly giving the support they promised - NOTHING AT ALL - so i was really wondering why anyone who had read the EOS-Website was actually buying...
