The current known airdrops are all reported to be using the eos genesis snapshot as a means for determining eligibility and that would be all registered mew, metamask, etc. Ether wallets as of the genesis block. Binance and the exchanges will likely support these as well given that they support erc20 and other tokens of the same class, but this hasn’t been 100% confirmed I think

eth had hard forks so several. pow doesn't have liveness issues but then you might have a few miners control consensus if majority crashers. dpos has finality so it's safe and everyone knows what last final block was
