EOS is a utility token. The intent of a utility token is to be of use for the network. Gaming the network by purchasing tokens and hoarding resources is BAD for the utility cost of the network. EOS can be purchased as an investment, but only if your purchase helps the network grow. If people hoard, thinking the utility cost will go up because they are making resources scarce, they are NOT HELPING the network, they're HOLDING IT HOSTAGE. The three year provision may be a way to discourage this. If someone wishes to purchase it as an investment, then there is no reason they wouldn't make those tokens available for lease, creating an income source for themselves while allowing the resources to be used productively. This would also avoid the three year provision.

I think once the exchanges open for deposit we will see some hoarders sell to those who wish to use the tokens as utility 😁

I hate answering safety questions when it comes to computer software and hardware because it's incredibly impossible to give yes/no answers. The security models for the two have different pros and cons. There are way too many variables to answer with sufficient accuracy unless I retire now and give you my answer in a few decades, after having written the hugest tome. Sorry. I expect someone can breeze in with a "x is more secure answer", which would be funny.

you can generate as many keypairs as you want in scatter's key pair menu. just make sure to write them pair down somewhere outside of scatter where you keep your passwords. you can still change the keys on your account later and generate new ones then. right now only with cleos but i think soon it will be possible with genereos toolkit as well.

Good question. If you knew that, and how much RAM there will be in the system, you could project the price of EOS. The supply of RAM and CPU is large right now for the demand, so value will be lower for awhile. The price may be high, though, as people will buy based on future value. When things shake out, though, it will likely follow supply and demand.

As we continue to upgrade our Block Producer infra, the cost will likely get cheaper over time.

Yes, however, developers are creating digital assets out of thin air, mean while all the investors still need time and effort to go earn fiat and still have enough fiat left over to purchase their crypto. I think its a matter of supply and demand. The supply of crypto keeps growing but the demand is the same. Therefore contributing to the bear market. EOS is a great product but others competing coins are drawing financial resources.

This has nothing to do with EOS. You would need to speak to the exchanges on this. It's been a week. Exchanges would also need to unstake their EOS before they can distribute them to their users. They would also need to implement EOS wallets into their exchange for users to send and recieve. Patience my friend.

bps are voted for. only their keys will be able to override the eos system i think. it requires multi-signature for enough of them. the arbitrators i believe are not officially voted so we as token holders wouldnt really have a say in the final decision

A week is only long to those that want to day trade and gamble their tokens. At the end of the day, a great product will be available with the kinks more ironed out. Then it won’t matter if people couldn’t access their funds for a few weeks. I honestly didn’t know they were still frozen. The price will grow tremendously just from developers buying up tokens to build.

I was listening to Thomas Cox on EOS GO Radio tonight and he was talking about arbitration not having jurisdiction over non-consitution signers, so that arbitrators are claiming their decisions on theft will not be binding because the theif didn't agree to the constitution. Of course, he's also eluding that all theft claims may not be authentic, either, but it seems to me that arbitrators can make one-sided transaction decisions based upon original ownership if no proof of transaction agreements exist to justify the transfer of tokens from one individual to another.

i think bps ability to freeze accounts must only be available when arbitration issues a rulling. This command must only be abailble if arbitration enables it.

No if it’s legit scam it’s ok to freeze and bps should it till arbitration takes place if arbitration reveals it was not scam and bps made mistake throw them out by voting.. bps can do whatever they want as long as it’s legit the moment they cheat throw them out and blacklist them
