Yeah got it ! So I guess thats why exchanges supporting air drops is impractical. Peoples exchange account and just like a sub ledger of what true exchange actually holds on a wallet which is what the snap would have been off correct ? PS- all mine are on my own wallet. There's eos' relative too, BitShares. That is NOT a pain in the ass. Much better. Things are good with graphene. When people who aren't used to stuff like BitShares use eos they'll be shocked. They won't want to go back (other stuff will seem broken).

You should be able to get the private key if you have a copy of the mnemonic seed (you should've written it down during setup). If you have this I can guide you on how to get your ethereum private key. In PM would be best.

The exchange have them all on snapshot and nothing is actually happening when they are traded. Once withdrawals open again it will be to EOS rather than Ether

Actually: you don't get it 'off'. Unless the hw wallet has an exposure, the keys can not be read out of it. . Basically the seed word list let's you re-calculate the keys. Google HD-wallets & bip039 word lists

If what you say is true, that was really unwise.. Eos brings with it a new idea of ICO = 1:1 airdrop. 900M to community 300M or so for the team. No investors needed, no risks, market finds price: let's say 10cent/token. Team cashes in a few M$ to get started. They HAVE to buy EOS with it to have bandwith and HODL that EOS to keep their dAPP running, potentially forever. More ico's, more airdrops, more EOS buying, less EOS available. I cannot make it any clearer than this.. Best business model I've seen in years. Also bear and bull will always be there, but there is no way crypto market will not be substantially bigger in 5-10 years, so all you need to do is hold...

For anyone wondering when the mainnet will launch (especially you Mike), we are in the snapshot validation process to make sure balances and such match up. Once that is completed, which looks to be soon as the BPs have been making good progress so far, then the testing stage will commence. Once that is complete then we will get to vote on the BPs we want and once a 15% vote has been reached then the mainnet will be launched.

Main net hasn’t started you need to wait for consensus. What that means is if you’re a BP you can virtually say that it is the main net for your OWN network, another BP can say their OWN network is the main network. The testing for a 1:1 ratio is being perform right now from ETH to EOS native. Just sit tight and vote when the majority of BP you trust tell you to go to the same link.

No. There is no side chains yet. Main chain hasn't launched. Once it does, anyone can launch a side chain and use the eos token in it to make interoperability super easy. Can also be done sans eos token however not as simple apparently.

Hello. I have a problem. Could I ask for help here? I bought EOS ERC20 tokens couple of moths ago. They are visible on my MEW. RIght now I've seen that I should have registered my ERC20. I think I did not do that. Will I lose my ERC20 tokens?

This is not about snapshot, I think binance does not move coins / tokens by just looking at filled trade orders, they are just moving the coins / tokens from their own wallet when someone wants to withdraw.

Snapshot entailed all exchanges to temp stop withdrawals and deposits NOT TRADING EOS coins within exchanges.
