Still there is no wallet get multiple BPs agreement good for using to store EOS as well as getting airdrop. Is that correct?
Greymass also works as a lightweight wallet. Aside from that, the airdrops are going to your EOS public key, so whenever you do set up your wallet, they will be there.

Isn't 100 EOS tokens block producer reward per day threshold unfair? I doubt that a single Harvard student excited by EOS and running and maintaining her own BP EOS node from the dorm room would have enough influence and track record to collect at least ~0,5% of votes, which is ~5M EOS token votes voted for her, assuming everyone has voted.

So guys, I've unstaked coins using Greymass, leaving 1 EOS for stake in each NET Bandwith and CPU Bandwith, I can see now delegated: 1.0000 EOS in each section, and Balance still un updated at 1 EOS, so the coins I've unstaked should show up in my balance after 3 days from now on?

Yes your tokens are registered in an EOS wallet, you just cant access it until you pair it with a wallet. And since im a rather large holder, im going to wait until the EOS wallet is up and running

I'm in the same boat as @simon case. Problem is that the EOS in Ledger ETH wallet was not linked to the corresponding EOS address on mainnet due to lack of ETH transactions on the wallet address.

That I'm not sure. You have a bunch of names tied with your one keypair that you could use :) Maybe there is a way to tie those accounts do new keypairs, but I'm not certain about that.

How is it possible to buy EOS when the mainnet is not up and the ICO has expired? Are the exchanges selling their own stash?
People had EOS tokens on the exchange (if you have crypto on a centralized exchange, they own it in your name - but it's basically just an entry in a database) and some exchanges registered the tokens they had on hand. When the freeze happened you could no longer deposit or withdraw, but you could still make updates to their centralized database (i.e. trade).

With eth you own no part of the network. Its a gas or tax essentially. Eos you own a part of the network.

I believe you need to export your private key from your Ledger for the backup process to work.
Believe it or not...
Just got off a call with nsjames
I showed him that the Pk we got from ledger recovery, was a 52 character key which looked like an eos Pk and nothing like an eth one.
When we put it in scatter as per the recovery process, scatter freaks and instantly changes the selection to eos but gives an invalid public address...
I am now thinking this is going to be a systemic issue for people unable to get the recovery process to work.

I assume you mean BlockOne since they were the ones who developed the EOS software. But keep in mind, EOS is not run by them. They will not be releasing a wallet. EOS is run by the community. So community developers are releasing wallets. You will not find an official BlockOne or official EOS wallet.

Am I correct in saying that I could check my account once a day on grey mass and see if any unstake transaction has been made. If someone has my private key they still have to wait three days after unstaking before any transfer
I don't know your exact situation. Just saying that all accounts were created with 10 unstaked coins the rest 50-50 staked on CPU and Bandwidth.

No need to unstake unless you plan to move your funds. The 10 that is unstaked by default is plenty for creating new account names, etc.

EVO is still conducting their airdrop. Also keep in mind that not all airdrops follow the same criteria for how they conduct their airdrop. Whereas with one airdrop, you and I may both meet the requirements, but on another, you may meet the requirements and I may not. It all depends on how they want to conduct their airdrop.

Also, some airdrops may want to start from holders who have the most EOS, and other may want to start with holders who have the least EOS. For example, I think meet.ONE started with holders of lower amounst and EVO started with holder of higher amounts. So if you look at a wallet with a large number of EOS you'll see EVO but not meet.ONE, and vice versa.

Looks like my link didn't post ... but GreyMass is endorsed by 10+ bps, and would allow you to unstake.
For creating names (and in the future, for using most dApps), you'll likely be using scatter.
If you google "Genereos toolkit instructions", you'll find some steemit articles on how to use scatter

I think what they are trying to say in regards to these airdrops is that they are suspicious of some sort of conspiracy theory based on how some addresses have received some airdrops and others haven't. If an individual had some EOS in a wallet, registered that wallet, and then moved them onto an exchange....and THEN the airdropper did their snapshot..How are they supposed to know that the individual didn't just sell the EOS in the exchange? That's why most airdrops are not including those who hold their EOS on an exchange. There is also no way to know if a holder on an exchange has regsitered, because you couldn't register exchange addresses.

I’m not sure about this either.. I don’t understand what an investor would stake. For a holder, doesn’t this just lock up your tokens with no advantages? I guess this is why everyone’s tokens were mostly auto-staked at the beginning.

even if it was true and even if it was worse, it has no affect on decentralisation since controlling those tokens doesn't let you control the bps

I don't think anyone really knows the percentages of ownership. I have seen at least 10 different numbers ranging anywhere from largest holder at 3% to the stat above, that 1.6% control 90%. Again, I don't think anyone really knows. Just pretending to know.
