One thing you could maybe do a better job communicating is the server/security infrastructure Cypherglass has invested in to be a top BP. I think it's important for BPs like yourself to educate people on just how important these types of investments are in order to secure our chain. We really should only be voting for serious parties like yourself who are thinking long-term

This is out of our hands, I'm afraid :( Furthermore, what is being traded on centralized exchanges like Binance right now is not "real" EOS. There is no EOS to trade at present, as all ERC20 EOS are now frozen and there is no mainnet token that exists right now. What these exchanges are trading is actually off-chain EOS futures that cannot be withdrawn. Because the EOS mainnet has not been launched yet, there is nowhere to withdraw them :) So these exchanges are effectively trading the future promise of EOS. I hope this helps to explain what's going on here, Assem, and I promise to be back in touch once we learn of a viable EOS mainnet wallet client. Until then, take care!

It's a global, open source project the sale of which has never been seen before. Usually these things grow from a few people in the beginning. This one is starting with a massive community. It's not like there's a play book on how to do this. You have to take the good with the bad, and in the case the good (Fricken world changing tech), far outweighs the bad (difficult to kick off in a fully decentralised way).

I'd be more concerned if a few whales did vote but it still wasn't enough. 2 Billion volume of EOS traded today with no deposits or withdrawals allowed, all internal liquidity. only if that other website displays your private key which would not be a very safe site. that's just how things work with browser extension. it's a normal permission for things like this an metamask to ask. you can read the source code (i have) to check if it spies on you, it doesn't.

It was a way to help ppl at the time but without realizing it would be a major deterrent for voting.

It is a secure desktop app that encrypts your private keys and keeps them on your computer locally. You can import your private key offline.

So I bought EOS on Binance, then I set up a new wallet on MEW just for EOS. I then withdrew EOS from Binance to my MEW wallet address. Somehow I either misplaced the private key or stupidly never wrote it down in the first place. The address I registered for the new EOS blockchain is affiliated with my Ledger Nano S bc I wanted to transfer my EOS from my MEW to cold storage, but I never could send it bc I don’t have the private key for the MEW wallet

You're probably out of luck. I guess there's a slight chance of getting something through arbitration if you show the binance account and withdrawal to that ethereum address. I doubt it though, and I guess you'd have to wait a long time even if this is feasible. It's not really possible to prove ownership.
