**EOS Mainnet FAQ:**
- Is it live?
**YES**
- Where can I find my account name?
Put your ETH address that you used for the ICO into eosauthority.com
- How can I check my EOS balance?
For liquid EOS on the command line:
```cleos get currency balance eosio.token YOURNAME```
For staked EOS:
```cleos get account YOURNAME```
- How do I vote?
lots of ways, I recommend greymass's (jesta and anyx) - https://github.com/greymass/eos-voter/releases
for API - http://mainnet.eoscalgary.io
on the command line: (replace privexinceos with the BP you want to vote for, or keep it there if you want to vote for us)
```cleos system voteproducer approve YOURRANDOMNAME privexinceos```
- How can I run a node on the mainnet?
Where do I find seeds/peers?
Where is the genesis file?
How to create an account with cleos?
check our website - https://eosnodes.privex.io
I thought you would have known this, Gib?
All accounts have 10 EOS available and the remaining balance is staked 50/50 between Network and CPU. This is totally normal for everyone as it makes the voting process drastically simplified for the launch and helping reach the 15% of the total token supply on votes. It's your choice if you want to vote or not.
You'll be able to unstake your EOS after the 15% is reached and the Mainnet is unlocked. As I said, this is totally normal and you haven't lost any of your EOS as you'll get them back after you unstake them so don't panic.
AES 256, salted, and everything done locally. No network connection to ANYTHING other than the API node you specify. We've had some engineers vet the encryption, they say it looks good.
I'm trying to vote through scatter with the eos nyc guide, i entered my private key and it generated the correct public key (did this part offline) and entered the account name linked to it (according to the eos authority site). When I try to import the account using the eos chain id in the guide I get an error saying no account is linked to this private key. Do I need to activate my eos account sonehow?
DaySandBox:
DaySandBox Bot Help
This bot implements simple anti-spam technique - it deletes all posts which:
1. contains link or @username or forwarded from somewhere
2. AND posted by the user who has joined the group less than 24 hours ago
Bot processes only @username links related to group/channel, if @username link points to other user it is not filtered by bot.
This bot does not ban anybody, it only deletes messages by the rules listed above. The idea is that in these 24 hours the spamer would be banned anyway for posting spam to other groups that are not protected by @daysandbox_bot.
Usage
1. Add @daysandbox_bot to your group.
2. Go to group settings / users list / promote user to admin
3. Enable only one item: Delete messages
4. Click SAVE button
5. Enjoy!
Commands
/help - display this help message
/stat - display simple statistics about number of deleted messages
/daysandbox_set publog=[yes|no] - enable/disable messages to group about deleted posts
/daysandbox_set safe_hours=[int] - number in hours, how long new users are restricted to post links and forward posts, default is 24 hours (1 day). Allowed value is number between 1 and 8760 (365 days).
/daysandbox_get publog - get value of publog setting
/daysandbox_get safe_hours - get value of safe_hours setting
How to log deleted messages to private channel
Add bot to the channel as admin. Write /setlog to the channel. Forward message to the group.
Write /unsetlog in the group to disable logging to channel.
You can control format of logs with /setlogformat command sent to the channel. The argument of this command could be: simple, json, forward or any combination of items delimited by space e.g. "json,forward":
- "simple" - display basic info about message + the
text of message (or caption text of photo/video)
- "json" - display full message data in JSON format
- "forward" - simply forward message to the channel (just message, no data about chat or author).
All accounts have 10 EOS available and the remaining balance is staked 50/50 between Network and CPU. This is totally normal for everyone as it makes the voting process drastically simplified for the launch and helping reach the 15% of the total token supply on votes. It's your choice if you want to vote or not though.
You'll be able to unstake your EOS after the 15% is reached and the Mainnet is unlocked. As I said, this is totally normal and you haven't lost any of your EOS as you'll get them back after you unstake them so don't panic.
Thanks David. I'm pretty sure all the current airdrops are based on the genesis snapshot, just wondering if there will be more airdrop snapshots taken at a later date in time over this month.
Two problems; 1 problem is that block.one failed to realize how much EOS was left on exchanges. Problem 2 is that developers think that everyone is a developer, like people that smoke weed think everyone smokes weed. Steve Jobs understood this and developed everything from the perspective of the end user. They will either need to create non command line tools for voting, ir significantly reduce the 15% target. My 2 cents.
Steemit launched with no wallet ui, just command line. Anyway, I’m away. I’ll be back in a few hours to see if you’ve all calmed down. Best of luck.
