Hi Roger, the article in the constitution currently holds that if an account is unused (no transactions) for three years it can be presumed abandoned. Voting staking unstaking etc would all be transactions that would prevent that. Users are encouraged to read the constitution before using the chain so anybody who doesn't want their account to appear abandoned should set something up to prevent that

You must stake to vote or run a dapp. The only other pro that I know of is that there is a three day cooldown once unstaked before transfer. Well this is a pro and a con. A pro because if you are compromised, but staked, it would take 3 days to steal your EOS.

there's not much of a difference for the average person... if you ever want to send your tokens to an exchange or somewhere else, it takes 3 days after unstaking to be able to do that... leaving them staked, if you voted, will keep the BPs you voted for with votes

You must stake to vote or run a dapp. The only other pro that I know of is that there is a three day cooldown once unstaked before transfer. Well this is a pro and a con. A pro because if you are compromised, but staked, it would take 3 days to steal your EOS.

there's not much of a difference for the average person... if you ever want to send your tokens to an exchange or somewhere else, it takes 3 days after unstaking to be able to do that... leaving them staked, if you voted, will keep the BPs you voted for with votes

No it said invalid key...
I went to 911.recovery - made a transaction connecting my new public eos with my mew adr with the erc20 tokens in.
- generated new EOS public and private key pairs (saved it well)
- signed the new eos public key i just generated with the same mew wallet.
Understand that this will allow bps to lock my public eos account now containing the EOS - until an eos arbitration can take place some time in the future where these eos will then hopefully be transferred to the new eos public key i just generated.
I am gutted really - so excited about this whole launch, and then this goes wrong after i really believed that i had done everything right.
But thankfull for the blockproducers 911 initiative, hopefully thruth will prevail - but I am very scared.

You don't have to do anything for three years, after three years all of your coins are stolen from you and distributed to other people. As long as you vote, or create a transaction of some type it will reset the three year clock.

If you were less ignorant I think you'd have to change your opinion. As we learn more about gender it's becoming increasingly apparent that it's not possible to create a clear distinction between make and female biologically, and that it's a spectrum.
It's simple to distinguish between a helicopter and a human.
