I had my EOS tokens in MEW. I forgot register my adress before mainnet. How many days now i must wait for fallback? On the site eosauthority i see my public key and account name, but how i will get private key for my eos tokens? Is neccessary register now to fallback process?

1.You need to generate eos key pair via fallback tool built by eos cafe/calgary or eosauthority using your eth private key. 2. Although tools were already used by other community members, imo it is wiser to wait until mainnet is live and situation is clear - stay tuned. 3. That is all we can do for you at the moment.

The process I was taking about isn't as difficult as it sounds. You just need to be careful to not allow any information to leak when you do it.

the eos you had on the exchange will be made available in a new mainnet eos wallet there in a few days. also when the main net is ready the eos you had registered in your metamask or myetherwallet will be sent to the eos public key you used when registering. you will be able to input the private/public key into any of the new eos wallet softwares that'll come out in the next couple of days.

Correct. And exchanges have their own wallets. So people that have never played around with their own wallets are trusting exchanges to handle it all for them and let them withdraw funds to a wallet or another exchange. If an exchange creates fake supply they can have their own fractional reserve system until too many people try to withdraw and it falls apart.

Hey, I want to know. Can a malicious smart contract change other smart contracts? Isn't it possible to sign a transaction to a smart contract claiming to be an airdrop, and that contract alters your EOS key registration or steals tokens? I assume it can not, because if the tokens ledger and storage for key pairings are inside one smart contract like the EOS contract, then another smart contract can't just access and change the EOS smart contract can it? Or is it possible to give that kind of authority to a smart contract just by signing a transaction(sending) to it? Because I see EON, EOP, and other airdrops waiting people to send 0 ETH transactions to their contracts, sometimes with data.

forget eos classic. that is a no-effort pump and dump scheme in my opinion. not sure what the question actually is. any forks of eos will not use the same token from the main net. hopefully we can avoid forks as much as possible, it shouldnt really be necessary.

Anyone know about eos airdrops and exodus wallet? I have eos in exodus registered and such. As far as I understand when airdrops occur like Horus tokens for example they will be in my wallet but I won't see them since exodus doesn't have them as an option. Does this sound right? And more knowledge on the subject?

If you didn’t register the eth address the EOS are stored on, the tokens won’t be transferred into coins on the new blockchain. You’ll lose your investment. My understanding is if you didn’t do so by June 2nd, you’re out of luck.

Hey, I want to know. Can a malicious smart contract change other smart contracts? Isn't it possible to sign a transaction to a smart contract claiming to be an airdrop, and that contract alters your EOS key registration or steals tokens? I assume it can not, because if the tokens ledger and storage for key pairings are inside one smart contract like the EOS contract, then another smart contract can't just access and change what's inside the EOS smart contract can it? Or is it possible to give that kind of authority to a smart contract just by signing a transaction(sending) to it? Because I see EON, EOP, and other airdrops waiting people to send 0 ETH transactions to their contracts, sometimes with data.

This isn't realistically feasible. Different airdrops make people jump through different hoops. I like the ones which don't make me jump through any!😁

No. Only etherdelta hodlers are screwed as I understand it so far. So, when you entered your address into that website, what did it say? Did you get your future eos address and name?

for what it's worth you don't have to log in MEW to "get" the airdrops. you already have them. you only need to log into something with the private key if you want to move them somewhere.

Any "coins" you own you do not actually have - nor ever will. Your "coins" will always be on the blockchain. This is important to understand. So what is a wallet? Well, a wallet never ever ever has any coins in it so it is a shame we call them wallets. What a wallet does is give you both a public and a private key. The private key is important as it = ownership of coins. What do I mean by that. Well, your private key (via your wallet) gives YOU the right to confer OWNERSHIP of those coins (on the chain) to another person. And this, in effect, is what we buy and trade. Hope that clarifies and helps....

you dont have to do anything if you registered them correctly on the eth network earlier. once the main net is ready you'll be able to use any of the new eos wallets and transfer them wherever you want. but i'd suggest just doing nothing and hodling for a while to be honest.

Whats the deal with them? Are they going to be distributing the block rewards among eos holders? I wonder what the better outcome would be: giving stake holders block rewards, or reinvesting block rewards to fund dapp development who ultimately airdrop to eos holders. your first challenge is going to be to get the private key out of the nano. i believe for that you will have to import your 24 seed words into another wallet that supports showing the private key (careful with that process, there's a reason ledger doesn't let you see the key). once you have the private key you should be able to use eoskey.io to get an EOS address that will receive the main net tokens.

You can reset the nano afterwards but that does involve moving all the money/tokens off, resetting, getting a new seed and moving it all back 😩

you can use Scatter with it, which is a good sign. that way they will never get your private key as its stored in Scatter only. havent looked at it, but that fact alone tells me its not a scam. but i would not paste my private key into that tool any time soon. but Scatter is trustworthy, you can enter the private key in there.
