Try making a smurf account like I did, high ELO discussions are a lot easier to discuss when no one knows which projects you're already tied to. Satoshi was right to make a pseudonym because the ad hominem problem is too strong considering the weak psychology of most people who get emotional about this stuff. Posting here about something as simple as exploring an idea causes chaos. Just make a smurf account and discuss high ELO topics with people anonymously. Good ideas get sorted out to the top anyway if they are communicated clearly and effectively, doesn't matter whether or not your account has ranking already or not.

I think the issue is many people invested a lot of money in EOS, and suffered greatly due to the bear market. It's your job to innovate, but I think you need to think a great deal before posting ideas for a new project here as EOS in its current state is problematic due to CPU and whale BP issues. In fact some of us feel that B1 over-promised and under-delivered. In short, be more open with your plans for EOS (all of this secrecey is really shaky), and show the community you are doing your utmost best to improve the value of EOS as a whole. If new ideas come up, take into account that many people will feel offended if you spend time on a new project when EOS is having a lot of problems. However from my side, keep innovating!

I will say it again, I am not leaving EOSIO or B1. The problem is it's being diluted by many forks and other chains trying to take over. About 10% of gold is actually used in electronics. Your computer, phone, TV, all of it has gold in it. 50% is used for jewelery. Gold has unique characteristics that cannot be replicated or created

It's the same concept as buying gold though. Most people dont actually own the gold, they just hold some document saying they have ownership of it. But the gold itself can and often is seized by governments. Most people are too stupid to properly manage their private keys, this is just reality.

100 years ago sure, but not today. We know mostly where all the gold deposits are. There is a lot of gold 50 - 100km below the surface but too expensive to get it out. Maybe a gold asteroid will hit earth one day? But as for a currency, it has proven itself for 4000+ years as a good store of value and a currency (although not very practical)
