Are their any thoughts in the EOS community about having KYC approved EOS accounts. Meaning some accounts aren't KYC approved and others are. If a dapp only wants to engage in KYC approved accounts then their can be criteria that the dapp views on the account that will not let the account participate in the dapp if it's not KYC approved. Will this essentially bring the WORBLI advantage to EOS?

Illegal depends on the jurisdiction. At the end of the day we need our apps to be hosted on Google play store and apple iOS store :). But in general things like child porn, drug distribution, terrorism ... Abusive would be things like racism, discrimination, cyberbullying

Initiative Q is an attempt by ex-PayPal guys to create a new payment system instead of credit cards that were designed in the 1950s. They wouldn't understand how the workings of the financial system but if you give them dollars to use then no instructions needed there vs crypto you need to understand about public and private keys and how to use the wallets and so on. It's not a fair comparison when most don't even know how it works

"Subjective CPU billing" I think. The BP bills the time it actually took to process your individual transaction, and that varies.

Well, there's the tx commission that is close to 0 but there the market place commission that will depend on the Marketplace using WAX. WAX stakers will earn from both. They put out an update recently. Do you want me to publish it here?

Right now none. To understand how the system works you need to get a deeper look into WAX :) Users will be proposing guilds that can be voted on, those guilds have a ruleset, this includes the comissions they charge and the amount that is distributed to 'stakeholders'. BPs main source of income aren't solely the transactions but the marketplaces they run on top of the WAX Protocol.

EOS has a huge potential, indeed. I think it will be the first to know real world adoption. It's halfbrother WAX that has the same DNA is already doing well in TX numbers and none of them is due to crypto speculation (moving funds from wallets to Binance, Bittrex, etc). EOS will do well. I'm quite sure of that.

"I have seen this question a lot in this group: How do transactions get split with the WAX token holders vs the site that is running on the WAX marketplace? We imagine a world where there are hundreds of thousands of websites all running on the WAX market APIs pulling product info and transacting directly on the WAX blockchain. Think of it as the ultimate affiliate program. One store might be a flower store or another for sneakers, and another a virtual game item store and all of them have access to every item on the WAX blockchain. You have to balance out how much to give to the website with the storefront, the escrow/warehousing agent, and the WAX token holders. We wish we could say 33/33/33, but real business doesn't work that way. If we don't give enough to the WAX market sites, then they won't have enough money to market, if we don't provide enough to the escrow/warehousing agent, they won't validate, store and ship. Now throw guilds on top of all this and things get more complex. The answer to this is we haven't worked it all out yet. If I had to estimate I would say 10% to 25% of the fees. Another example is WAX NFT creation. Is it better to split the fees with the WAX token holders or burn the WAX tokens when NFTs get created? Another one of those questions that are undecided. There has been some fud about the transactions but the responses imo give a good insight into the vision behind WAX. "I am the CEO of WAX. And the CEO of Opskins. The principles which EOS governance is built upon are recorded in the Constitution. There is also a Block Producer Agreement which attempts to set the rules for Block Producers and outline their liabilities. Alas, no document provides the guidelines for enforcement of these rules. Lack of an enforcement mechanism breeds impunity. Any actor involved in the governance process is free to act at its sole discretion as losing votes is probably the only consequence it would face. The absence of enforcement coupled with poorly defined liabilities and vague rules makes it very hard to state if EOS governance works, as nobody knows how it is supposed to work. However, it definitely exists. All the disputes are currently resolved by EOS Core Arbitration Forum (ECAF). Unlike Block Producers which the community chooses by voting, ECAF members are self-appointed. It is important to note that the primary job of ECAF was to facilitate the launch of the mainnet without the referendum for a new Constitution being a blocker. Simply put, ECAF was meant to be an interim body. It has been half a year since the mainnet was launched, and this organization keeps issuing protocol-level orders. Some might question their legitimacy. But there is a more important question to ask - are these executed? The short answer is no. During the past six months, 24 Block Producers have produced 64 blocks containing transactions that broke 10 ECAF Orders of Emergency Protection. 64 blocks with malicious transactions do not seem to be a significant figure when compared to 25 million blocks generated to date. But ECAF has issued only 17 Orders, which means that the Block Producers failed to execute almost 60% of them. Such misbehavior led to the substantial loss of 61951.6448 EOS. I am not trying to crucify any Block Producer, as it is impossible to unveil whether the disobedience was deliberate or accidental. Many Block Producers blame for the loss the process since the way ECAF disseminates its orders is not immediate and leaves hackers enough time to transfer funds to another account. There is another important takeaway. All Orders of Emergency Protection dealt with the arbitration for stolen funds. There were no orders related to fixing errors in the code of dApps or smart contracts which had to be the major feature of EOS blockchain. Nevertheless, these figures prove that there is an enormous amount of miscommunication and misunderstanding when it comes to EOS governance.

Prediction time. 2019 will be the year of the great BTC decoupling. Currently BTC is the main trading pair for most crypto tokens. This results in the entire market largely following the price action of BTC It also means a tonne of trading volumes goes into BTC when the buyer has no want or need to own btc, aside from having to buy it to move to another coin. Coinbase has a stable coin now and there are more coming. I believe these stable coins will be the main trading pairs for the next wave of speculation. This will result in a decoupling of token prices from the btc price action. Let's see if it comes to fruition.
