I can only hope any such decision requires voter review before going into effect, no different than change to protocol or constitution. Otherwise it would be too easy for BP to edit state and funds spent before voters catch on

It may overwhelm the voters if every award by ECAF goes for public voting. It is also not scalable, the idea behind the concept is if the community disagree with the approval they may vote in other bps. (which in itself is not scalable - soon we would have referendum and we hope community votes out ECAF by opting V2 constitution by B1)

Well BPs shouldn't have the power to control other accounts - will bring bad PR and distrust among community members. BPs should just use these power when the code is not working as intended, this is what "intent of code is law aka v2" proposes.

Couldn't agree more... Hope we have governance limited to fixing of code by BPs and following intent of code is law. I don't see even delays working well, ECAF got 1000 of claims which as network expands will turn to 10s of thousand. It would overwhelm the users if they need to keep up with everything award and vote.

I agree and certainly know what you are trying to suggest. Proper check and balances are very important for DPOS to run perfectly as well as opposition. No check and balance may lead to corruption and lack of trust overtime.

The answer seems clear to me - BP's can continue to block tx to the accounts and kick bucket down to time when there are tools present to ensure maximum decentralization on decision - and that only happens when you involve stake holders. They would still count as preventing theft for now w/o PR disaster. This will be as defining of moment imo as when Ethereum confiscated funds from DAO attacker. It's already being played as such despite it not yet happening.

It is in effect because users choose to use this blockchain with this constitution, instead of creating another. And if it wasn't in effect, we wouldn't have a rule which defines what is an proper way to vote for the constitution.

The only rules that matter are protocol rules. Not using a blockchain at all as only method to avoid telegram designed constitution isn't a valid measure, it should've been blank so people had a chance to vote on changes. at this point, you can't vote on changes unless you accept current ones. by default, you're eliminating anybody who wants changes.

ok, im gonna have to do some learning! ive been to EOSPARK.COM and i can see my eos. but some are "cpu staked" and some are "net staked". EOS transactions are instant and fee-less, so it's perfect for those games, and much easier to run them here than on Ethereum. On top of that, these apps are mostly just random number generator a with a graphical interface on top, so anybody with hald decent coding skills can make one pretty quickly. The real, high quality apps are coming. They just take longer 🙂

It does, a little, but keep in mind that EOS is only five months old. There's bigger and better things coming. The Ethereum ecosystem has stalled because of the limitations of the technology - transaction fees, scalability, etc. EOS can go much further. Keep an eye out for Karma and Parsl on the EOS chain, as well as the sister chains Worbli and Telos.

This is a great use case for EOS, and gamblers/gamers are usually first adopters of something like blockchain tech. Pokerstars alone was pulling in 200m a day in revenue. And EOS poker will have pvp Texas Holdem here in about 3 weeks... it’s a great onboard into the eos ecosystem IMO

I love the NouGit idea. When github sold to MSFT for $7.5 billion, my first thought was “this is all open sourced, isn’t it only worth the network capacity it takes to maintain it?” Which is basically 0 considering cost per user. I liked the delivery-share idea, as well. I’ve spoken with people for some time that I think we will all eventually be a part of the shipping process. Micro payments economically worth it for micro deeds. Lastly, the crowdfunded market maker idea, in theory, is right up my alley! I had a different first perception from what they pitched (I think?), though. I have long argued with my coworkers at our trading firm that a DAC of 100+ investor/members will one day be competing with us. It’s already happening in some senses, but nothing full DAC yet. Soon, I hope!

Check out WAX. It's based on EOSio. Opskins (a big actor of gaming skins) took EOSio and made WAX. Both WAX and EOS count more than 50% of the total number of transactions from all blockchain projects combined.

Thats tough to say. Getting existing mainnet BPs to all agree to produce blocks on other sidechains, especially when there are additional costs associated with providing that additional infrastructure, will be a tough sell for many projects. Block producers would be taking on additional costs while working for the same pay, and there may be disagreements among BPs about which projects are worth supporting.

You don't get it. EOS BPs will grow to deliver bitmain scale processing from running hundreds of sidechains. The big difference is they will be processing useful transactions rather than just burning power hashing sha256. Each BP will be a massive data centre.

That’s already the question, 4 pools control >51% on both blockchains, Bitmain controls 70% of ASIC market and they are confident they will have large Ethereum POS pools when/if they implement Casper.

It's pretty good....we are one of busiest networks in blockchain space with record TPS of 3300s. The network got maximum users and active dApplications. We would soon be having REX which would solve CPU and RAM issues. Also B1 is planning to launch identity system which could help attracting more dApplications (social networks insurance companies and so on).

This is a good point too. I was able to catch onto the POKER train earlier in its boom which accounts for this difference in return from price of the token. But as far as the DIVs are concerned POKER also has a higher % and a less saturated market in terms of its game. Only one other blackjack that I know of and it isn't great honestly.

I do agree that DICE has a great team and a great platform. But I think this is why their share % is lower. Seems they have large overhead compared to POKER. This is why I am in both dapps! Good things in both corners and collaboration between them!

Yea i did the lucky draw first and then clicked on payout. Everything is staking but unable to see the bottom half to click claim

Yeah they're doing a whole UI revamp, said that will be fixed when the new Baccarat UI is released. For now, just click to a different tab before you go to Payout
