damn, make sure you have the latest version of DESKTOP scatter, and reconnect scatter, refresh the page. That always helps when i get txns hanging. Growing pains bro.. One more thing, if you remove the permission and reconnect that sometimes works too. This hanging txn is a rare problem, so don't worry about it. lol bitcoin

always keep your keys to original accounts especially genesis accounts if you're not selling them. The reason is forks, side chains, sister chains, and airdrops might use that snapshot.

I got 600 accounts. I roll around in about 4 of them, 1 for me, my wife, my kids play eos knights lol and the rest are for future giveaways and sales. My genesis account is just collecting airdrops and airgrabs while parked in cold storage. The other ones are like moving vehicles, exploring undiscovered territory in the new world of eos dapps.

Your account name is your wallet. The difference here is what tool are you using to interact with your wallet? I personally use scatter to hold all the keys I'm using, and with scatter I can connect to eostoolkit.io for managing my account (wallet) in all areas. The other great choices are greymass and simpleos. I've tried the meet.one wallet and the lynx wallet, and the starteos wallet. All are really excellent tools, but for my favorite, it's the scatter / eostoolkit

Alright great, that kind of answers my other question. Was wondering what would happen if I was managing stuff on a phone wallet and then lost my phone. It sounds like the device doesn't really matter because your account is online and your just using 'wallets' to interact with your accounts. So you would just get another phone and then essentially sign back into your account with whatever wallet your using right?

I have csgo skins.... they are not my propperty they are owned by valve/aka steem. if i cheat on csgo and my game account gets banned then im not allowed to trade that skin or use it... wax is saying that it puts skins back in the power of the user when infact it doesnt... game companys decide what skins and how many skins are availble. - they can delete skins remove skins change skins. wax is allowing the use of trading skins with out using a 3rd party centralised organisation to do it. - skins are values by the market and there for there seen as money in someways and used on many gambling websites that use betdice type apps for adults and children. there are no KYC meaning children can gamble these skins. and valve/steem and many gaming companys dont allow gambling. and are cutting back on open markets for this reason by time locking the skins so that you can only transfer a skin once every 24hours or even 3days in some cases - to get around this skins are gambled and traded on 3rd partys apps. This is why fornight only allows trading of game items WITHIN the Game. you cannot trade items over a market or ourside of the game... because they dont want kids gambling. they also dont want an open market of skins because they exspect people to buy the skins of them and no from other players.. fornight skins cannot be traded on WAX it is impossible..... ALL Transactions are from opSKINS ect. allowing users to trade skins on a platform that doesnt even own the skins. the skin is ON the game account. :/ all this can be done with out wax and it is being done with out wax.

Great episode guys. I have a gaming use case that I think could be huge for block chain Online motor racing is massive and only getting bigger. You buy tracks, cars etc and can set up cars for certain tracks etc. Putting set ups (as well as the cars and tracks) on the block chain would mean people could monetise their expertise in setting up vehicles for other users. Also tonnes of opportunity for in game advertising, car skins etc iRacing, Project CARS, Assetto Corsa, RFactor to name a few...

It's a lie. It's not centralised. Fundamentalism has not been good for any genre and it'll be the same here. Decentralisation was the tool to achieve a result, not the other way round. POW was a step on the road for almost all use cases. There is no way POW works for 99.99% of use cases... DPos finds a balance and has a more decentralised develoment decision making process. I would argue that is even more important than processing decentralisation. But both have a place and anyone suggesting there can be only one kind of protocol is missing the point of this while space

I can only assume the worst, but that is my nature. I want to scream when I see this obvious injustice, but my rational side has a much better observation... They are custodial for thousands of eos members. That's a great service to provide our comunity. They offer a FIAT ramp to EOS, that's excellent for EOS and the community. They have other eos/pairs that we can all be proud of too. They keep eos tokens in cold storage, but allow their customers and our fellow members of the eos community to remain liquid, (trading) and staked(voting) at the same time. That's something even we don't have. So you can see that there are many benefits to having huobi servicing our community. What have they done for us, outside of their exchange? Nothing I don't think... Yeah, nothing. They just attract whales to their platform because voting yourself into the money while remaining liquid to pump and dump all day is great for whales. Huobi and bitfinex both cater to whales, because that's what corporations do. I don't vote for either of these BP's, because I see no value in it.

Well, it's super early in the life of EOS. We have to learn to walk before we can run, and we have only just begun to crawl. The team at Block.one haven't voted yet, and they could easily upset any bad actors if they choose to do so. With that being said, we have no concrete proof of collusion, or corruption yet, it's all mostly conjecture and speculation, so sit tight, kick back relax, and enjoy the fireworks. Everything is going to be just fine. Once we tweak all the controls, this ship will sail itself and we can all be proud of what we're building here. You don't have to be a dapp developer to build on eos. Community run, community support is more important that any dapp out there.

So, what are your thoughts?

I don’t know yet. Regulators are more familiar with Ethereum and ERC20 tokens are sort of standard for financial platforms. At the same time our experience with our Ethereum DApp that used ERC20 tokens was a nightmare. Similar to using a DEX. We had beat CryproKitties with only 650 daily active users. I know EOS DApps are doing better. We think the key to mass adoption of DApps is to have users interact with these smart contracts “in fiat”. That means creating a mobile payment and banking app that’s also a web3 browser. That way people think they are playing DApps with cash. Think of Venmo or Cash.app for DApps.

Listen, there's no one at the mercy of anyone except for the voters. Voters coming together have the ability to vote in and out whoever they like, whether they do it or not is just timing and circumstance. However, what you're suggesting is that the Chinese are buying block producers which isn't the case. In general those who vote from China are more interested in a spread out network as it's in their benefit to have it be so. I know this as I've chatted with some of the largest holders face to face and judged their look in the eyes. They vote in non-chinese producers with the same mentality that non-chinese holders vote in Chinese bps.

I'll own this delay 100% the team worked as hard as they could. We have been working hard to scale our in house dev team. However for anyone who has tried to recruit developers in blockchain, there are very few in the space who also know EOS. So we relied on some third party vendors who we thought could get it done and they fell short. Hey Guys, looks like my account was haked this morning - anyone might have any tips or suggestions? It looks like it was transfer to HitBTC and I have fiilled a ticket out with them. Some background, I decided to use the Greymass wallet this week and that's when things went wrong. Someone hacked in and changed permissions and ultimately sent funds. I have never shared my private key, so am thinking a key log possibly, even though I am super careful.

I think you are completely missing the point and mixing up different things. For once WAX is way more than just skin trading. Skins are just one thing that can be traded on WAX. I myself own a lot of CSGO skins as being a CSGO player for over 20 years. But this is not what WAX is about. WAX is about actually bringing the skins and other digital assets onto the blockchain. It's right, with the current system for most games you can not tokenize those skins and you will never own them. What WAX aims to do for those skins is to just secure trades. Let's for now stick with fortnight because your claim fortnight skins will not be traded on WAX is plainly wrong and shows that you did not look into WAX at all. Fortnight skins are traded in game, What WAX offers in this case is security and a payment gateway for all parties involved through so called Transfer Agents. For fortnight these transfer agents are actual users performing the transaction securing it via a staking system. To stick witht he fortnight example, what's happening at the moment is, that people trade their skins in game and for this build trading rooms and trade skins for skins. But this is risky because there are malicious actors that set traps. Have you drop the skin that is supposed to be traded, but instead of completing the trade kill you and log off with your skin before you respawned and can get back there. A marketplace offering fortnight skins will work somewhat like this: A user offers an Item for sale on said marketplace. As soon as a buyer is found the Seller trades the Skin with a so called Transfer Agent, the TA insures the skin is actually what is supposed to be sold, issues the payout to the seller and delivers the item to the buyer. To insure for the TA not going rogue he has to stake coins four times the value of the items he trades. This is just one of the many scenarios where WAX will be able to secure transactions. So before ranting you might want to check your facts. Gambling sites not having KYC is a problem of those sites and has nothing to do with WAX. What WAX wants to implement is a new system where developers can actually profit from the secondary market through commissions like it is now with the Steam marketplace but without Steam cutting a huge chunk of the developers profits. And Developers are definitely intersted in this. In the long game WAX is trying to implement an item centric gaming system where skins do not just exist inside your game or account but on the blockchain. Similar to what VGO does. I'm not a huge fan of neither VGO nor The Forge Arena, but they are a good example for how it is supposed to work. Yes, the game company decides how many skins and what kind of skins are brought into existance. But you actually own your skins on the Blockchain and not in your game account. To use your skins and items in game you link your wallet to the game. So no, as soon as skins are issued the developer can not change your skin, take reposession or delete it without killing the entire system. Because skins will exist outside of the game and the developers influence.

In many ways true, Nudu. But from the blockchain perspective only. WAX is an entire ecommerce system (blockchain, browser, explorer, marketplace). We designed it to achieve Opskins scale. Yantis and I knew the volume requirements needed to power global commerce. No way Ethereum was going to work. DPOS is it. No one can say at this point that blockchains aren’t useful for real world commerce.

You can check the whitepaper on wax.io. WAX will feature a voting system where users vote the BPs aka guilds. WAX will start out with 64 guilds and will introduce additional guilds in stacks of 8. Every user can propose a new guild and can vote up to 8 himself via stakinge with said guilds. So similiar to what EOS does.

Yes, they could be tweeked. But they don't need to. Check the sites that are responsible for the transactions and how long average users stay on there. It does check out. As far as we know WAX won't publish any code beyond API until public launch of the mainnet.

You can check the WAX Whitepaper for that. WAX Governance model will feature a voting mechanism where users are allowed to propse and vote on BPs or in WAX case called Guilds. Every user with a certain amount of WAX can propose a guild and vote in up to 8 guilds by staking their coins with them. WAX is supposed to start out with 64 guilds where every guild will represent one marketplace. After the initial 64 guilds new guilds will be approved in stacks of 8 to adapt network growth to user growth. If a guild wants to change it's ruleset it needs to make an entirely new proposal. In return for staking with a guild users are reciving a share of the commissions collected by said guild paid out in an interval. If a user changes his pledge to another guild he will lose one payout interval.

probably because they knew that Wax is back by VGO and OPskins transactions and activity along with the credibility of the founders, Quigley and Yantis. These are real transactions, not bots like " I LOVE BM" on the EOS chain. Once WAX blockchain is public and block producers are processing transactions, independent verification will be possible. But make no mistake, WAX is a real project. These guys are seriously successful in virtual item trading. From what I understand, the only hold up on the WAX public blockchain is governance. Something all of us associated with EOS can sympathize with. The governance piece is complex. That is why WAX is being advised by David Moss (former SVP of Technology at Block.one) and Thomas Cox (former VP Governance at Block.one). Also from what I understand these Senior tech team guys that left EOS have created a company called StrongBlock which WAX will be their first customer.

I always thought REX and Chintai might serve the EOS ecosystem better by providing long-term resources for dApps to establish themselves, or maybe even just rent resources on a permanent basis for their dApp - like a shop would rent floor space in a mall full time. ZKS, on the other hand seems more in line for dApp users. Like renting a bycycle in big citys you see around these days to get from bike stand A to bike stand B.

Yep. I know the transactions numbers on WAX are insane and first thing I did, was to search deeper. I checked the traffic on Opskins, WAX ExpressTrade and other websites and it seems to make sens. Then I tried to check if there was wash trading on Opskins to inflate those numbers but I didn't find anything abnormal so I fomoed in like crazy. Then, I saw blocktiviy. Personally, I don't check often blocktiviy a lot. I prefer using the individual blockexplorers and from what I see, the transactions numbers of the other projects are way lower. Only EOS seem to be close to WAX in transactions numbers and that's why I'm here. Dan Larimers projects dominate adoption and WAX is partially EOS ;)

I think it's a good idea. The Satoshi white paper is 10 years old as of three days ago. Don't forget that the blockchain's main purpose is to remove trusted 3rd party intermediaries because they add unneeded costs to transactions. That's good to hear about Scatter. I think the main "problem" with patreon-on-EOS is the fact that once you return from being submerged in the blockchain world you'll realize that 99.99% of people pay with some sort of fiat currency, and building a platform that only accepts crypto limits total addressable market. Coinbase could be used as a credit card payment processor, they do take a small % fee, but you could encorage users to save money by transacting in native tokens

WAX more than doubled the total transactions on EOS based blockchains. That will add credibility to EOS. EOS +WAX (EOS based) have more daily transactions than all the other projects of the first page on CMC combined.
