There is a need for a hardware wallet solution (5 months into mainnet on a top project). Thankfully Cypherglass has delivered in conjunction with scatter There is a needed solution for the CPU issues There is needed attention around ECAF There is needed attention in the enforcement of constitutional violation such as vote buying (some we’re working on at EOSVibes - is a coded solution) Greater voter engagement is needed. I’m personally eagerly awaiting REX and think that Chintai has done a great job as well. Also what’s up with IBC? There are not decentralized sister chains without it. Also need a solution to the dropped blocks and microforks taking place during tx processing This list goes on. However don’t take this as doom and gloom, and I’m a big believer that critics should also bring solutions. Some solutions require larger collaboration (which I’d like to see). EOS is a fantastic project with limitless upside and a growing developer and dapp community. Now is the time to come together and solve big problems.

This is what happens when u lose interest in a project... you start thinking about the next big thing... But Dan needs to push through with EOS and not get distracted -- there are many urgent issues going on with EOS, including lack of 1P wallet, BPs dropping, CPU issues, etc. The state of EOS at this point is a mess, quite frankly. And when things are messy, it's much more fun to dream up new things and move on. But persistence and execution is what pays off, not jumping from one project to the next. Dan has jumped ship in the past, more than once, and the EOS community has always been fearful that he will do it again. Perhaps Dan's messages above were the warning sign that we all hoped we would never see. A response from Dan would be highly welcome. The last thing we need is some new pie in the sky project that diverts resources and attention away from EOS.

The way I am reading this is that Dan is building a Dapp on top of EOSIO and making a stable currency. The more the token is traded, the more we need EOS to be staked, therefore less liquidity and higher prices.

It certainly makes the most sense to me and you that what you are describing would be the case. But I'm far from convinced that that is actually what's going on in Dan's head. Especially given his known tendences to apparently give up on projects rather quickly and move on to the "next big thing". And quite frankly, if he were a responsible adult and a responsible EOS community manager, he would not come in here, drop a dozen bombs in the chat and disappear, leaving us to speculate and waste our own valuable time in order to figure out what's going on. Doing that shows a remarkable lack of empathy for what people in this community are living through right now -- and what we have been living through ever since the botched EOS launch -- and really only serves to drain the little trust that is left.

Totally. Not disputing what you are saying at all. But one thing is the legal aspect of this (which you referred to), and one thing is what people *actually* believed or expexted by donating, and another thing is what media could make this into, if they wanted to. To state it even more simply, I doubt that people donated $4B to BlockOne just so that Brendan Blumer could buy himself cars worth of $4B. That just doesn't pass the smell test.

I don't think there are many questions, he had an idea this morning, he shared with the community which could empower EOSIO. (he haven't started working on it yet) Also, Daniel is a visionary who talks about ideas and move fast. If we aren't looking for innovations and problem solving then the #EOSIO will just be stagnant. We know he is trying to solve issues in hand (CPU, identity, REX, URI, privacy) they all are much needed projects if we are thinking of mass adoption. 🙏

That's a misconception. Decentralization can occur with or without trust. Trustless decentralized networks have advantages and disadvantages, as do Trusted networks. The implementation details and use cases determine the validity of any particular approach.
