It had a spike in volume. During the spike, a million staked DICE (~2000 EOS) tokens would generate about 20 EOS a day on average. It's now around 10 EOS a day. There are only ~2500 users.

ya, Ledger is supported now.. If you move your coins from the genesis account, the new account would get the new airdrops that don't use a genesis snapshot/account.. if a new airdrop for some reason uses the genesis snapshot, you'll get that in the old account

Well, ETH is currently doing 489k tx/24hrs and is at 100% capacity with 80k unconfirmed tx, EOS is doing 5M tx/24hrs and using 0.42% capacity. I agree CPU is problematic but that is not a scaling issue inherent in the tech, REX/fork/ibc and most importantly voting out shitty BPs will fix the CPU situation in short order

I have nothing against them, but I believe based on their website that they are misrepresenting how many actual transactions are occurring. And because their so called block explorer can't actually explore blocks, there is no way to verify. The closed source doesn't help, and would be in violation of the EOSIO MIT license. In essence, the project is not trustless and I don't believe it deserves to be mentioned along with the more responsible EOSIO chains.

From Jonathan Yantis over at WAX… (1) You can explorer every single block to your hearts content on the explorer. FUD? or maybe just didn't have a chance to really look at it. (2) The MIT license permits reuse within proprietary software provided that all copies of the licensed software include a copy of the MIT License terms and the copyright notice. (3) It is only closed source for now. The plan is to be open source it all. Just would rather not have a bunch of WAX clones out there. That wouldn't do our token holders any good.

I think WAX is approaching this like a business who has first mover advantage and doesn’t want to make the code open source till they are fully ready so as not to have competitors easily clone their work and turn it into who spends the most advertising their business.. they had that with opskins and once they are ready they will open up but at that time should have such a big first mover advantage that it won’t matter..they have spent the past year working on this and seem to have very smart operators who understand business and this space..more importantly they have solid reputations that I don’t think they would risk over lying about transactions when they know this would easily be found out by somebody willing to take the time and verify them..the leadership team is strong..Check them out and you decide

I currently have multi-sig but want to set this up so voting remains easy but every other action requires the threshold 2 multisig. Consensus in EOS does not exhibit Byzantine Fault Tolerance. The use of 21 block producers in the system is arbitrary as the producers are processing transactions in a round robin manner, with no algorithmic logic when block producers behave nefariously. Various forms of consensus failure were shown in the network testing. Consensus is entirely dependent upon the voting mechanism which is based on social consensus, not algorithmic BFT consensus. C. Economics An analysis of the EOS token system reveals that the network acts as a marketplace for available computation. The network provides computational services that are essentially credits for computation generated by the 21 block producers. Because the conﬁguration and processing capabilities of the 21 block producers are shielded from the public, there is no way to discern the amount of computation available in the network that is being promised by the tokens. This black box nature of the block producers creates a system where unveriﬁed computational value is being introduced into the system, creating the potential for instability. D. Summary From this comprehensive analysis of the EOS system, it has become apparent that in order for EOS to be able to successfully act as a foundational base layer protocol, it needs to re-architect a signiﬁcant portion of its infrastructure. EOS can potentially act as a side chain appended to other more foundationally secure networks, though the system would need to be rebuilt in order to address the problems detailed in this report.

Just a follow up, I mentioned this on the wax channel as well. I apologize for my comment about wax misrepresenting their transactions on their block explorer. I had tried a number of times to find out how to explore blocks and transactions on explorer.wax.io without luck. It's not straightforward and because of this and the lack of current open source of the wax code, I was suspicious about the project. However, I've now been shown how to explore wax transactions and informed that the eosio open source license does not require that derivative software be open source. Therefore, I want to withdraw the concerns I mentioned. There was no I'll intent.

4b wasn't for a dice game lol the only reason eos is holding $4 is cos the value of the chain is seen as the money they raised 4bil or it would probably be much lower already. Ironic that if eos hits $1 eos.io will have enough money to buy all outstanding supply lol
