Hi, I want to transfer EOS from myetherwallet to Binance, so I downloaded the Simpleos wallet to do so, however, at the step where you need to transfer 1.4 EOS first, I run into the issue that in myehterwallet the address that is given is Invalid (I need to fill out "eosriosignup" by recipient/address)...what am I missing here to get EOS from myetherwallet to all the way Binance...any tips or a step by step guide somewhere that you know off?

Suggestion: please provide a minimal smartcontract source for the lates version (eosio.cdt 1.3.2) with the functions: 1) apply (transfer), send_tokens and create an entry for an multiindex-table. They want kyc and I’m not going to do it as it compromises my eos accounts . Its a kyc chain . I believe that crypto should disrupt banks and govts not cooperate with them. We need new methods of id - like sovereign id that is not based on any Govt central planner . You must've signed the transaction with a private key which isn't your ledger's key. Look up your eos account on a block explorer like bloks.io, and look at the permissions. You'll be able to see what the public keys are, and see how they compare with the public key from your ledger.

I hope the BancorX will become a success. So far the performance of the Bancor platform was a little bit dissapointing imo. 1.5 million USD daily volume of which more than half comes from their own ETH/BNT reserves trading. Can't really call that beating expectiations considering the enormous amounts of ICO funds they raised (of which a significant share they lost in a hack).

If time showed that 21 bp is too little, the amount would have to be raised to avoid voting pools. EOS is quite much based on the moral immutability if BP. An option would be a protocol addition where the BP negotiate each block using Byzantine Generals algorithm -- or some other improvement. This criticism from Whiteblock is if course not intended to be constructive. But we could possibly respond in the long run if our own analysis motivates that.

afaik, there's not really a way around this.. you would pay the ram for the person you sent it to, then when they sent that token somewhere, you'd get the ram back and it would use their own ram

I see it as a potential benefit. I'd certainly be happier knowing that all the people and apps I'm interacting with have been through some sort of verification process. It doesn't eliminate risk, but it surely minimises it. No more dodgy anonymous gambling apps, for one thing. And if I want to trade those, I can always come back to EOS.

there's no way to get your tokens off mainnet... but if you wanna use a different wallet like a a ledger, the best bet is making a new account with a ledger wallet and moving your eos to it

You really dont have to. Wallets like Scatter, Greymass and Simpleos are great well vetted. Basic Ledger support is available right now and can be used with most of these. Better (real) Ledger support is supposed to be released tomorrow.

For sure. With side chains and sister chains that are focused on solving parts of the compliance stack, a lot is possible. Worbli for example focuses on AML/KYC. There will also be dApps that handle KYC as well, so a variety of financial services and exchanges could operate on EOS and it’s sister chains and side chains.

If bitcoin miner majority decides to alter the blockchain, they can modify accounts. If ethereum miners decide to do the same thing, they can alter accounts (think dao hack). If market prices of incentives didn't matter, hash power would never follow price but we saw with BTC/BCH and ETH/ETC it does matter, more than #'s on chain.

This is the quote where they define BFT as something where ability to vote or delegate or any form of subjectivity somehow breaks BFT makes 0 sense. Exact same principles exist in miners switching pools, in creating multisigs for producing nodes in any PoS, and so on which in no way affect BFT. Every conclusion whiteblock makes appears to be in no way connected to any accurate definitions of words they use or data they present.

You need some sunlight, crypto needs to come with a warning like it does on cigarette boxes. There is no need to purchase like an addiction fix if you can't work out why for yourself in the first place. Make any decision in haste repent at leisure. You might be repent for a significant time in your life for a seconds decision in crypto. Only a small number of projects will ultimately deliver, and be commercial used.

that's the thing about mining - it's not permanent and importance of investment more than few years ago doesn't matter in PoW - their design forces rotation and entry is permissionless. that would be a valid critique of any PoS.
