Exchanges have the ability to vote your tokens. Bitfinex has a way for you to tell them how you'd like to vote. Others aren't clear on how or even whether they will vote. Again, this is a temporary problem. EOS will be around for 500+ years & these initial kinks will last a couple of weeks.

Well cleos is the tool he created. GUI wallets didn't come around in time. I personally think it should have been more of a priority, but honestly, it would have delayed mainnet launch another week or so I would guess, to verify it. No one has any patience for delays at this point.

But with a $4B budget he could have made that happen easily. But they did not sad to say. We saw searies of events here that leads to failure. Once people start loosing their eos funds in the their wallet then people will blame them for not doing so.

Yup. I'm not in a position to argue or apologize for that. My group, EOSAmericas is just trying to build the best possible network, spread the word, and grow EOS throughout the American continents. Not true. Dan Larimer owns 10% of the tokens and is prohibited from owning any more, but the voting is all automatic based on the smart contract. For a while there was an Appointed Block Producer that launched the network and had special powers, but they relinquished their special powers 16 hours ago based on our unanimous vote and the rest of us core "Launch Group" developers re-validated the chain to make sure they hadn't made any evil changes (they hadn't). So no one person or group controls the network now.

Dan picks the 15% requirement for activation for he patterned it with steemit and bitshare. Can he lower it to something like 5%? So we can get activated and operational. The chain is ready but it is useless if we cant activate it. We will be on a waiting game here. Is it not enough that we have already waiting this long? June 2 is the launch date initially and we are now closing on the mid month of June. Should we wait more like end of the month or end of the year before you make an action?

It cannot be edited by a central authority. For example, Vitalik Buterin is famous for saying Ethereum was created because Blizzard (World of Warcraft) made some changes to there game which caused something he had spent over 100+ hours trying to get, worthless.

I don't know if you got an answer. Put your ethereum address in at eosauthority.com. If it says you have an eos public key and account name then you can access your eos account and tokens using the fallback method to generate your eos private key from your ethereum private key. You could use, for example, scatter or eoskey.io . Your ethereum private key is important so do this securely (at least go offline, possibly move all your other tokens first)

you dont need any wallet to receive the airdrop. if you have the private key for your eos address then you can access the tokens that get airdropped there whenever you want. eventually more wallets will come out that support the custom tokens that get airdropped but you still receive them there before.

I think B.One should have developed a more user friendly voting portal to generate confidence in the process. Those with large holdings are obviously worried about entering their private key into some third party app. CLEOS is out of question for most folk.

One entity had to launch the network, but we agreed that it would be unfair to the others to list the names of the 11 BPCs that volunteered to be ABP or the one that was randomly selected. It was a bit of an unfair advantage as a BPC to have been the launcher of the network. So we agreed to keep it secret. And later, we who had built and executed a mainnet launch protocol decided we would, Sparticus-style, each say that "I am the ABP". It's a little inside joke that was livestreamed to the world.

hadrian: Put your ethereum address in at eosauthority.com. If it says you have an eos public key and account name then you can access your eos account and tokens using the fallback method to generate your eos private key from your ethereum private key. You could use, for example, @scatter or eoskey.io . Your ethereum private key is important so do this securely (at least go offline, possibly move all your other tokens first)

Thanks, two questions. The ABP is the only one producing blocks until 15%, yes? What is the 40 tps max? I noticed in jungle testnet 114 tps is possible and on other test nets +400 tps...I assume the ABP is not running at full potential what would be the reason for that? Beyond that what is a reasonable timeframe to get to 5,000 tps?

We just see things differently. Any video with Dan I've watched I've treated as informational, not marketing. I've not seen any marketing type material over the last year. LiquidEOS is from Bancor which is in Israel. :) What better BP to vote for if you want geographical diversity. Also using baremetal instead of google/amazon AWS meaning that they will own the hardware that is running the network.
