How can we calibrate the meaning of bandwidth and CPU in our accounts. Our accounts have specific amounts of each. What does it mean to have 1 minute of CPU or 1 megabyte of bandwith? Are there AWS equivalents to these resources that we can compare?

Well, you are going to need more than 0.01 EOS staked to have enough bandwidth to make your transfer, especially if you are trying to transfer a big amount. Also, there is a reason why people need to wait the 72 hrs period in order to get the tokens fully unstaked and liquid.

The EOS ERC20 tokens are frozen forever. They were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you have.
You now have access to your native EOS from an EOS wallet using your EOS keys.

Hey guys .. I m
Here for profits only ... when eos gonna decouple from btc.. eos great thing.. but until n unless it’s decoupled from btc it’s gonna go down
The way I see it, we have the best chance of decoupling from BTC of all cryptos. We have the highest volume aside from them and I truly believe we can be considered a tech company in addition to cyrpto, blockchain, and decentralized nation. We get a few solid dApps and we will start being valued more like Google or Amazon or FB etc... big value placed in the amount of people using our Blockchain.

Hey Gavin.. thanks for picking up this .. I hate BitMex and all others that offer derivatives on cryptos. Those bottom feeding financial institutions are the exact reason I got into crypto... to get away from them. People buying on there are doing nothing more than betting someone else what the price will be. Nobody is actually buying or selling any cryptos on there, just contracts that are related to the speculation of price. I also think the owner of BitMex has little to no morals and all he cares about is money. His interviews and tweets are sickening.

I was going to do the proxy vote guide next, but I guess the 'didn't register my tokens' one sounds like it'll be more widely needed! Basically, don't worry about it, if you have the Erc20 keys is probably not lost but will take longer to recover.

On the outset, chain was launched with every account staking to make activating the chain easier. You could not perform actions other than voting I believe. So if the chain was launched with no one staked, we never could have gotten enough votes.

So that's for Steem, I believe Dan wanted faster finality because we also have recourse through arbitration if something goes wrong.

The LIB on Steem is actually calculated incorrectly, fun fact. It would technically be when the entire set of witnesses have signed off on top of a block.
EOS has a properly calculated LIB, as the BFT algorithm uses pipelining.

4 billions were necessary to properly distribute the token.
The alternative would have been to spend 4 billions for mining.

Thanks for another good video Traveling Crypto, but I think most people are missing something on the question of whether EOS can hit $1000 by the end of 2018. The issue is float.
The circulating supply of approximately 900 million EOS tokens (one billion minus Block One's 100 million, which are locked and not tradable) will dramatically decrease after the EOS mainnet has been up and running for a few months. That's because the vast majority of EOS tokens will be staked (not tradable) by developers and corporations running dapps on EOS, and by token holders staking in order to receive leasing income.
The number of staked tokens could easily reach 90% which means the effective circulating supply or float would be approximately the same as Ethereum. As everyone knows, ETH went from under $10 to well over $1000 from January of 2017 to January of 2018. If somewhere around 90% of EOS tokens end up being staked for running dapps and for leasing income, the effective circulating supply of EOS thereby goes down to approximately 100 million... about the same as Ethereum. It would then only take the same amount of money that was in ETH back in December and January in order for EOS to reach and exceed $1000 per token.
For this reason, and because EOS is a vastly superior platform for numerous fundamental reasons, and because there are many signs of institutional money positioning itself to enter the market, and because we're on the cusp of Blockchain 3.0 and mass adoption, the possibility of EOS reaching $1000 by the end of 2018 is not as far fetched as most people think. And of course it will go much higher in 2019 and 2020 as mass adoption becomes a reality.
It's about to go live, with well over $1 billion in capital allocated to VC vetted and funded developers who will airdrop their tokens. This combined with the superiority of the platform (and migration tools for developers who want to port their dapps from Ethereum to EOS) means EOS will have a substantial and rapidly growing developer base right from the start. On top of that, many developers who don’t receive Block One VC funding will airdrop their tokens to EOS holders anyway (like eosDAC did in May) simply because it’s a far superior method of raising capital compared to ICOs. EosDAC raised approximately $45 million (based on current market value of their tokens) without having to bother with an ICO.
Hundreds of other developers (and eventually thousands) will follow suit, which will further benefit EOS holders, further expand the EOS developer base, and further increase the demand for EOS tokens. Those developers will use some of the money they raise to buy (and stake) EOS tokens, because that’s required in order to run dapps on EOS. On top of all that, there’s all the other EOS advantages… scalability, ease of use, free transactions, account recovery, superior governance, the option to receive leasing income from unused tokens, etc. But it’s the combination of airdrops, staking, and shrinking float which will cause the token price to skyrocket.
It’s amazing how many people still don’t recognize this, but when it finally starts to dawn on the majority of investors, we’ll see the mother of all moon shots.

Airdrops will drop into your account if you qualify. Doesn't matter what wallet you use. Some wallets may not let you interface with the airdrops, but you will still "have" them. Hope that makes sense?

Depends, airdrops will be attributed to the address. So if you own your private key and qualify, you receive an airdrop. Whether you can 'see' it in your wallet of choice is a developer question.

Reply: "no dApp does not need tokens, its the biggest fallacy of blockchain. If you can't pay with any coin you want, you are no better then ethereum. There you also not only need a token but also ETH to be able to transfer it and pay for those transactions / execution of the code. On cosmos I pay with any coin I want both for the service and for the fees / execution of the contract / storing some data on chain"
