Aravind as I understand it, the exchange will hold your private keys for the EOS account that will hold the tokens taken from the ERC20 snapshot. Once the main net is live, create a wallet and send the tokens to your wallet.

Aravind : the exchange should have a method, like for other coins, to send EOS to a personal wallet. When you create the wallet through an app like greymass you will get everything you need.

no, binance wont give you private keys, they just give you access to a wallet address that holds new mainnet tokens that you can then withdraw to an eos address you fully control.

dont get caught up in the bare metal buzz, diversity will be strength, big cloud providers are fine too and have their advantages. different attack angles for both. i recommend looking into eosnation, eosnairobi and genereos

u need to set up scatter properly. After pairing, you need to go back to scatter and select which account to be used on your scatter then saved.

You don't have coins on trezor or any other wallet. You have keys. So as long as you have the private key you should get the airdrops.

that's right. and on top of that airdrops on eos are much, much better for the project owners because doing transactions like sending custom tokens doesn't cost anything on the eos network. unlike the ethereum network where you have to pay the miners for any sort of transactions like sending your custom erc20 tokens somewhere.

reserved forever i think, you buy have to buy RAM for it, right now it's around 0.12 EOS for the 8kb of ram recommended for an account. then you stake (meaning you can get that back) around 0.1 EOS for Bandwidth and another 0.1 EOS for CPU (you can do less, but that also seem to be recommended settings, depends on how many transactions you wanna be able to do). no recurring cost.

You’ll still receive the airdrops, as long as you followed the requirements for the airdrop, as you control the keys. Some airdrops have dropped as ERC20 tokens as the mainnet wasn’t launched, such as eosDAC, but they will eventually move over to the EOS blockchain at a later date. As the mainnet has launched, still in the voting period though, future airdrops will go into your EOS wallet; again as long as you follow the requirements the airdrop may have. As I said, you’ll still get the airdrops even if you registered on Exodus. Exodus published an article about airdrops which you should look into. They may not support the airdrop tokens within the application, viewing your balance and such, but you can still access them via mew, if they are ERC20 tokens, or from an EOS wallet, if they are on the EOS blockchain.

yep in a browser extension that is isolated and if you save a private key (you wont have to for this procedure you're trying) then it gets encrypted first with a (strong) password you can choose. you cant get the private key out again.

has there been any formal investigation by block.one into the keygen mismatch issue? I've registered many wallets and most are fine. I used teh same key gen from teh same link (sandwich's steemit link) each time. I've now confirmed some of teh people I assisted in this process have a mismatch of public and private keypair. hey! admins dont have a better answer either right now i think: the community is working on a registration fallback method to eventually give everyone the mainnet eos tokens they deserve. but it might take time until a great method that is safe has been worked out. i dont believe you will end up losing your tokens, it just might take some time. keep investigating about the "registration fallback" and listen to news about it in the next weeks

hadrian: If you didn't register and there's an outgoing transaction from your address you can use fallback. If you used a hardware wallet you need to use your mnemonic seed phrase to generate your ethereum private key (read up on security best practices first) by using a bip39 tool such as https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/ ( https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39 ), then you can use fallback. If there's no outgoing transaction your eos will be in a pool in the genesis block and you may be able to get it if you wait long enough (likely through arbitration on the eos blockchain).

An easy way to check if you can use fallback is to put your ethereum address in at eosauthority.com. If there's an account name and public eos address you can use fallback now to access your eos account and VOTE!

The vote percentage is currently at 9.8739% folks, doing well. Dig through the comments on here and the official BPCs groups to see which methods are most trusted by the community if you’re up for taking part in the vote. Not long to go now. Yes. It's because the fallback script generates an eos public key from the ethereum public key. An ethereum public key can be derived from an ethereum address only if there's a signature available. Only outgoing transactions are signed using the private key associated with the ethereum public key. The script works such that the eos public key generated will correctly pair with the eos private key which people can generate for themselves using the fallback method with their ethereum private key.

There are some projects, but their goal is to connect everything with everything, for example Cosmos, Wanchain, Polkadot ...
