block.one wanted eos to be owned and governed by community. in addition to avoiding the risks which endanger the project. Other project might be at risk if regulation comes up. but eos is truely decentralized.

If on exchange you aren't really trading the actual coin, trades happen internal to exchange not on blockchain... You are trading "rights" to coin. Only need to touch blockchain when withdrawal

I really do not know the logic behind their wish to limit certin airdrops to people holding 100 or more..perhaps it could be that they feel people with tht many will behave differently to those who only have small amounts..and that appeals to them. Hi guys, can someone from this community please clarify the next step for EOS? My EOS coins are on my Exodus wallet and I registered the address before the deadline. My EOS are frozen in my Exodus wallet, will they turn into mainnet tokens, or will I have to send my ERC20 EOS to an address and get sent mainnet EOS coins back? Or will I just be sent EOS mainnet anyway and my ERC20 EOS will stay with me but become worthless? Thanks for you input guys.

A lot of money in crypto world is currently directed towards poor quality projects via eth based ICOs. Tokens are being hyped for successful sale and token buyers are then left to wolfs. Eos can attract a lot of the IDIOT capital. With ICO market loosing momentum, I expect Eth network loosing significance as well as Eth is mainly used for ICOs at this stage. Eos may prove to be indeed an Ethereum killer.

Don't you think Ethereum has already taken this into account and have a plan to tackle the problem? This is the only thing that worries me....

Even so, think about it. People with that much money aren't going to ALL work together. They'll be trying to carve out a bigger slice of the pie for themselves, which will lead to votes going every which way. Some will lean towards Chinese BP's and others Western. Block.One foundation (or whatever its called) will only invest in companies on the mainnet. They have 1 billion set aside to invest. That will most likely aleviate multiple chains thriving. But the possibility of other chains is not a big negative, IMO.

Think of EOS as an operating system like linux or windows. Now dapps (programmes) can be built on that operating system and we have a decentralised OS (whereas ether tout themselves as a decentralised computer). Hope that helps....

I'm not BTS.. Its the only exchange I use, and it is far fr'om liquid in 98% of its markets. Spreads are high, and if you REALLY need to sell any more than a hundred dollar's worth of most coins, you'll end up selling below market.

Kevin...waves platform has been inundated with bogus token creation....which are then airdropped to waves token holders. It's effect is basically filling waves wallets with tokens that amount to nothing but annoying spam. Is there going to be safeguards in eos platform to guard against this. So binance takes all the sell orders and all the buy orders and keeps a ledger of them. Then we go live on mainnet and binance says, oh give us a few hours to allow transfers and withdrawls (and in that time they sort out all trade contracts).

Brendon yes. Basically the snap shot was of what the exchange has... they registered their own wallets so when it goes live the contracts are swapped to mainnet and then you can withdraw
