If you registered your eos on exodus, then your eos is now on the mainnet. You can see them on the mainnet by getting your public key from exodus.

It all comes down to your investment horizon. If you need to exit short term, I would say you should adopt more agressive strategies. If not, just forget about it until we pass the bear market and the maturation of the ecosystem will take care of the price :)

Just use same keys and a different wallet, your coins are never IN a wallet, always on the blockchain. You just use a wallet to view and transfer the coins. So airdrops are also always there, just need a wallet that can view or transfer them

(Refined my earlier posted discussion further) It will be tough for the community to be able to vote those self voting whale BPs out. See distribution of whale votes vs community votes via the API provided by EOSTribe. I've posted this earlier @daniellarimer on EOS Gov "I still think my earlier suggestion of logscaling voting power above 1000EOS will be an effective way to prevent whales voting themselves as BP in and not putting the work and mia from ECAF meetings. This way, if a whale wishes to self-vote, then let them tediously split and try to manage thousands of accounts, each with still a substantial amount of EOS if they wise to maximize their voting power. They will of course have to then make sure to keep all those accounts active, and revote constantly to keep themselves as BP. Adding on to my post earlier about log scaling, another suggestion I had made previously on top of this is to introduce a criteria whereby a minimum of independent voters would need to be met. Could even throw in a geographical diversity of voters requirement. Its not fool proof, but adds layers of tediousness and hopefully also **cost** against self voting whales. More layers of anti-oligarchy protection could be gradually introduced, and to create a more democratically balanced ecosystem, where even those with 100 EOS tokens have some say (against the whales)." People with higher financial stake in EOS will still get higher voting power. Whales with one million coins will have six times the voting power compared to those with one coin for a log10 scaling function. Could switch to other types of log scaling or other less harsh functions too, to find the balance btwn financial stake based voting-power and the threat of massive whales being able to control the system by virtue of the resource they have to bend it to their will. Also if any whale is caught trying to game the system, and if they get hacked while trying to bot managed their thousands of accounts, then make it such that their funds will risk being burned with accord to the constitution. We need to start somewhere. Implement these layers to make it difficult and requiring more effort for whales to game the system, study it, come up with more solutions, and add to and improve the existing protection gradually, inch by inch, etc. But somethings needs to be done against self-voting whales now than later. ~transhumanio

If it's the Daz that I think it is, he's very involved in the this telegram channel and a suppoter of EOS, and I know he has been reaching out to BPs to get a better understanding of how things are handled with ECAF and the order that recently went through. So I strongly doubt it's fud.

In any event, it's not really damaging information about EOS as it is more damaging information about that particular individual or that particular BP. I see it more of raising awareness that this is a BP that has been elected and this could be an example of how serious or not serious they take it.

I have a friend (really it's a friend not me) who swears he did everything right (he's a long time engineer and careful) to get EOS tokens on main net from his ERC20 wallet. He was even offline at the time of doing the signing stuff. Anyway everything looked good after main net launch, all tokens there and staked. But in the last few days he now sees that all the EOS has been drained from his account in several transactions and then moved to Bitfinex. I can only think that somehow his private key was compromised but just wondering if there are other reports of stuff like this from people who were credibly careful. I mean a compromised machine that lead to theft of private key is the only rational explanation right?

How can I locate my crytpos? What is the direct path to finding them.Below is the story as to how I came to the conclusion that something has happened to my tokens or my private key has fallen through the cracks someplace. What I believed happened is as follows. In the process of trying to register my account on Scatter, I was told that my public key was invalid. I then proceeded with the fallback process there on eosauthority.com and by pasting in the Ethereum private key into the dialogue box, thus generating a new pair which I saved.

However, when I submitted the new public key on greymass, the account could not be located. Also when I submitted the account number to eosflare.io the tokens are documented but when I enter the public key, again the account can't be located. Whatever the case, I reinitiated the process again with the Ethereum private key but I still can’t access my account entering the new public key into eosflare.io. Whatever the case, what needs to happen in order to get my account name linked to a new set of public and private keys?

Airdrops have happened on mainnet. 3-5 so far. The airdrops will be distributed based on whatever snapshot they end up using - most of them are using the genesis snapshot. EOS holders who left theirs on the exchange at the time of a snapshot will ultimately be left up to the exchange if they will participate and distribute.

Eos needs better decentralization. Term limits/rotation of the top 21 as proposed by the awakenment would make the system even more decentralized. Versus having the potential of a top 21 Cabal who could utilize the EOS they receive to keep themselves in power. While their are alot of good ones their appears to be a couple shitty ones as well who've managed to stay in place . With a rotation of the top 21 it would allow others just outside the top 21 to build infrastructure and make them a more viable backup when they are rotated out of the top 21. Bottom line better balance of power and more decentralization.

Yes. Not ideal, but I think having more keys during registration (using ethereum) would have really really confused people - they struggled enough as it was. It's very easy to change keys now. I'd encourage people to set up and use an active key which is different from their owner key.

Perhaps. But they're are several wallets which are based off the save code. Most commonly recommended of the GUI wallets is greymass. Using @scatter with https://www.eostoolkit.io/account/permissions is an easy easy to change keys too.

Why do you advise that ?

For better security you can use the active key for most things. Then if you need to you can use the owner key to change owner permissions. It needn't be critical if someone gets your active key. If someone hacks your owner key there is the hacked account recovery feature whereby you can use a recovery partner and your owner key, to update your owner key.

What website? eos.io? block one? They're not involved in running the blockchain, because of that, they have said they will not endorse wallets. The leaves it all up to the community to collectively decide which wallets are preferred to use. For example, Greymass was released, and it's code was audited, which led it to be publicly endorsed by many of the top block producers.

Everyone's EOS is stored on the EOS blockchain. The wallet you keep referring to is nothing more than an interface to allow you to access them. If block one were to publicly endorse a particular developers wallet, that would put them significantly ahead of other developers wallets. If you search, "EOS News" you're going to find the most recent and most popular articles. There's no way for Google to know if those results are legitmate, skewed, or even completely EOS related. I remember looking up info for the recent ECAF debaccle with the order that was put through, and I came across an article that had their info COMPLETELY wrong. Saying things like how the 21 BPs are completely unknown, and nobody knows how they were selected. Meanwhile, we KNOW who the top 21 BPs are...because we VOTED for them. It's articles like this that often flood search results and make it difficult.

Ok, I need help here. I bought and registered for about 30 EOS on both MEW and eos.io. After Registering my EOS private key in scatter, I only saw 10 EOS. I am bit confused, what would have happened to my remaining 20 EOS? I am 100% sure I registered my token before June 1. NB: I bought my EOS directly from EOS.io. Fully registered and was showing my exact EOS token in MEW but in Scatter I only see 10 EOS. Please need clarification as to what is happening if nobody has an idea. Thanks

We would strongly advise to distinguish arbitration from policing as these things have been getting heavily confused lately. Arbitration requires both sides of the dispute to willingly subject to the ruling, and more often than not, sign up for it before the dispute takes place.
