You're making no sense. if a Developer wants to create a project on the EOS ecosystem, they need bandwidth (EOS coins). If they don't own any, they need to lease them from those that do.

You only need to stake to vote for now. There will be other advantages for staking later like renting out tokens and such. Your EOS will already be staked, except 10 EOS, as all accounts were born pre-staked for voting.

You'll be able to access your EOS from an EOS wallet using the EOS keys you got from registering. The EOS in MEW are ERC20 tokens and were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen forever and you will have your native EOS on the address you got from registering.

All wallet functionality works without saving a wallet file. 😊 You just have to copy paste your key every time. In my opinion, an excrypted wallet file is more secure than copy pasting your key around, though. We've got some awesome security features coming soon too, stay tuned!

Locking the wallet is similar to closing the program. Useful if you step away from your computer. If you unstake all your coins, you have no bandwidth on the EOS network and can't even make a transfer!

Can a developer trust that fractional reserves will cover their needs, or should they acquire/lease what they deem necessary? If 50% of resources are not utilized/allocated , and I need 2% of system resources, should I just get 1%, or slightly more, of bandwidth?

There will probably be automated services that handle stake scaling for developers for a small fee. The network won't be maxxing out anytime soon. Visa handles 1667 transactions per second on average. EOS can handle 1000 TPS worst case, 6000 best case.

Exodus still have to implement EOS wallets into their app. The EOS you have on their just now are the EOS Ethereum ERC20 tokens. The EOS ERC20 tokens were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen forever. You can wait until Exodus implements the EOS wallets into their app or you can access your EOS from an EOS wallet with the EOS keys you gpt from registering. You can get those keys on Exodus through the developer menu. You can read more about that here: https://support.exodus.io/article/86-how-can-i-view-my-private-keys Best of luck

Easy to dismiss it as ignorance but it was up to the community to educate each other and make the launch as smoothly as possible. 15% votes took too long to get to because of exchanges holding most tokens. If we had put out more info on wallets vs exchanges, a lot of users uncomfortable with handling wallets could have been more confident in using their own wallet and received all airdrops. Be more neighborly, this is a community.

EOS on MEW are Ethereum ERC20 tokens. Those were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen forever. You can now access your EOS from an EOS wallet using the EOS keys you got from registering. Many Bps and community members have recommended EOS Voter by Greymass as a wallet. Most exchanges still have their deposits and withdrawls suspended but some users on here have said that Bitfinex has opened theirs. You would have to contact them to find out though.

What if one implemented a DNS on the EOS blockchain? It would be resistant to powerful players deciding to remove sites from the DNS registry. Technically it seems easy at first, but it would really require a smoothly functioning implementation. Any thoughts on the value of this kind if dApp?

EOS on Meta Mask are Ethereum ERC20 tokens. Those were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen forever. You can now access your EOS from an EOS wallet using the EOS keys you got from registering. EOS Voter by Greymass has been recommended by many BPs and community members to use as an EOS wallet.

why my Eos were always on the ethereum chain???

EOS on the Ethereum chain are Ethereum ERC20 tokens. Those were only used for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen forever. You can now access your EOS from an EOS wallet using the EOS keys you got from registering. EOS Voter by Greymass has been recommended by many BPs and community members to use as an EOS wallet.

With eos-voter - v0.1.7 (greymass) I'm having troubles getting past stage 2; "failed to locate account" with regards to the public eos key. Registration ect done months back.. My data is valid when check against BP such as EOS authority. Any ideas on how to overcome this problem?
