Thank you for your reply but I am still trying to get it done. Scatter shows correct key pair and 10eos on my account, MEW shows my eth balance and other tokens( but 0 EOS from the day I bought it) including meet.one but eos-voter does not recognise my private key

you can see current bids here, but they will only start being respected in 14 days from now i think. one per day gets sold for those premium names, always the one with highest bid. but you can also have non-premium name right now without having to bid and compete.

if you didnt register then there are two ways to go about it: hopefully you had at least one outgoing transaction on that eth address, then you can autogenerate a new eos key pair using the "eos registration fallback" method. if you dont even have that then you have to wait for hte community to figure out the best process to still get you the eos you deserve

they are already stored on your public key. you dont necessarily have to do anything until you want to move the tokens or vote with them, anything that requires the private key. personally i recommend using scatter to store the private key and then be able to use all sort of web wallets and tools with it.

it just explains how voting works and what staking is. you don't have to "vote to unstake". once your tokens are staked (which they were by default when the chain was booted up) you can use them to vote. you can unstake them now since the mainnet is fully live and then your votes wouldnt count anymore. but there is a 4 day waiting period, once you start unstaking, after 3 days the unstaking is completed. you can use e.g. https://toolkit.genereos.io/staking to unstake. but you only really need to unstake right now if you want to move/sell your eos. and why would you want to do that?

Yes every account has 10 EOS which can not be staked for voting. If you have 1,000 EOS and you vote 990 EOS will automatically be staked for voting.

you dont have to "use" a wallet to participate in an airdrop. as long as you have eos on an account which is tied to a public key and you control the private key then you automatically have full power over all airdrops sent there.

To be able to move your EOS you'll need to unstake them. It'll take 3 days to be able to move them from when you unstake them. You'll be able to unstake them using greymass.

they were staked by default when the chain launched, that's why. now that the chain is fully live it's all your choice. you need them staked if you want to vote or use a lot of the network (which you typically dont if you're not writing a dapp)

No, as long as you registered. Exodus will most likely add a native EOS wallet to the app but this may take a few weeks/months. You can still access them now on an EOS wallet with your EOS keys. Just becareful with your keys.

i think both, but not sure to be honest. i use scatter which is not really a wallet, but like most of a wallet, it holds your private key securely which is the most important part. and then webapps can use it to send it transactions that it then signs and sends back out, allowing you to use the blockchain with any website through scatter.

yep. its like a postal box sitting at a street address. people come and put airdrop candies in there from time to time whether or not you open the box with your private key. at some point you can come in and collect. and main difference is that the balance is always visible outside without needing the key, and you can see it over the internet 🙂

not sure what that token generator is you speak of. but eos unlike other cryptos are not identified primarily by a public key but by an account name. a lot of people actually dont realize that. the current acccount names were all autogenerated when the chain was launched. you can change the public/private key on your account whenever you want.
