Some. Not all. For example, meet.one was done on ETH. Depends on which one. Also, I don't know if any have even been airdropped on EOS network yet.

You will get max you staked for if all system resources - cpu/bw - are exhausted. Your unused share may be used by others - until you start using it. RAM is reserved and can not be shared by others - hope this clarifies
If people are using more than their staked and the system hits max, how are those people reduced in their usage? They all equally drop a percentage?

Some general advice for engaging in telegram channels. You can search for keys words in the channel. I answered this question earlier today for someone else. You could search for 'unstake' and you would find the answer.

They may have acted to stop user funds from being stolen, but with Bitcoin, if someone gave their keys to some fraud site thats it, you cant go in and freeze funds, what happens when these 21 blockers want to move to freeze funds of famous accounts, protesters, or activists?
Then we vote them out,

cleos is the code based wallet built into EOS. That's the only thing close to an official wallet. Other than that, why would they have anything else? Block.one is not running the blockchain, nor did they launch it.

There's not one simple answer to your questions. Keep in mind that not all airdrops are conducted under the same criteria. If there is specific airdrop that you are interested in, I recommend looking up the details for that specific airdrop and seeing if you are eligible. However, most airdrops are not dropping to EOS holders on exchanges and even if they wanted to drop there, it also depends on if the exchange chooses to participate.

Most of them, yes. But it ultimately depends on those conducting the airdrop. Some may require some sort of registration, some may require a minimum amount of held EOS, some are based off of the genesis, snapshot, some are based off of their own snapshots.

The wallet is used to store your PRIVATE KEY. That’s it. When you hold your crypto on Ana exchange, the exchange has full access to your private key. So, anyone that gains access to your binance account, for example, could gain access to that private key and steal your money. Holding your private keys in a hardware wallet safeguards your keys so that only you have access to them.

The answer to that question will ALWAYS depend on what airdrop you are talking about. Not all airdrops are the same. The question you are asking does not have a single answer because is it too broad or vague. I recommend looking up info for the specific airdrop you are interested in.

He may or may not be. But he's also not running the blockchain. He doesn't really have any say in what happens. Also, anyone can be a BP. If it becomes enough of a problem, we can rally together to work on getting Bitifnex knocked from the top 21.

As we are clarifying things... I don't really understand, or I'm not sure if I understand correctly this staking for cpu and ram. I know BPs have actual cpu and ram power to produce blocks. How are my staked coins helping chain's cpu and ram? The only thing comes to mind is that if they're staked, BPs are sure that there will not be a transaction demand and this speeds things up.

No that's not what I'm saying at all. But we as EOS holders have the decision of where we choose to keep hold our EOS. If they are left on the exchange, then they are technically owned by the exchange. We have more collective control if we were to keep them in our own private wallets.

Agreed. But has anyone gained control over their EOS tokens hale on the Bitfinex, or other, exchange? At the moment no one is getting their EOS off the exchanges - are they?
I'd think that's impossible to do currently since only the exchange has knowledge of what your private key is when you entrust them to hold your EOS tokens.

Abubakr22:54:43 - 20 Jun 2018 [UTC]
This is very true. EOS is literally the only crypto platform out there completely decentralized. As a collective we're learning what that really entails as far as interfaces and utility in these early days of a revolutionary concept. Patience is ultimately the best, if not only, option for the time being

You had to have a little bit of technical know-how to be involved in this ico. If you didn't, there's no one to blame but yourself for leaving your tokens on an exchange.
I sort of agree with you here. This telegram channel has 60,000 members, albiet, not all of them are active. But the subject of exchanges being BPs is nothing new. Aside from that, there is a TON of information ( articles, videos, etc ) that walk you through how to register and maintain your EOS in your own private wallet, and even further, how it is recomennded. This is primarily happening because a large amount of the EOS community were lazy, stubborn, or just plain didn't care.

Anybody who complains about the current rankings of the BPs need to also realize that it is the way it is because we LET it happen that way. They also need to realize, that we as a community can also rally to change it to the way we see fit.

Steemit had a detailed article written for any and all questions concerning EOS. I'm definitely not the most technically savvy individual, but I knew how to read. The first rule to crypto in my opinion should always be: control your own private key. Never leave it to the exchanges.

So can someone answer what happens after 64 gb ram of EOS gets saturated by dapps? Do BPS add more RAM? And How that correlates with EOS coins? In other words is adding RAM = printing EOS at will?
@danlarimer hope Dan can answer this.. if in future increasing RAM can cause price drop as Ram price dilution=EOS coins dilution in my opinion then I am out..

Draw a personal financial roadmap.
Before you make any investing decision, sit down and take an honest look at your entire financial situation -- especially if you’ve never made a financial plan before.
The first step to successful investing is figuring out your goals and risk tolerance – either on your own or with the help of a financial professional. There is no guarantee that you’ll make money from your investments. But if you get the facts about saving and investing and follow through with an intelligent plan, you should be able to gain financial security over the years and enjoy the benefits of managing your money.

Yes. That’s what I thought . Since Ram = EOS but one of BPs said it uses bancor algorithm but my understanding it will be cheap to buy more RAM if supply of RAM is diluted. There was some concerns of insider BP trading as well when this RAN changed happens in other channels as it will affect EOS price for sure Dan needs to answer this question for all of us if this is true

No airdrops have been given on the EOS network. The ones that have been given have been dropped as ERC20 tokens until they make the transition onto the EOS Network. So if you qualified for the airdrops that have been given so far, you should see them on MEW.

No airdrops have been given on the EOS network yet. The ones that have been given have been dropped as Ethereum ERC20 tokens until they make the transition onto the EOS network. So if you qualified for the airdrops that have been given so far, you should see them on MEW.
I had my tokens on jaxx si I guess I can use my printer are ethereum keys to see the airdrops I had before ?

How come my exodus wallet say my EOS balances frozen? I registered my wallet address last may, can u help pls
Exodus hasn't implemented EOS wallets into their app yet so the EOS that's displayed in your wallet is the EOS ERC20 tokens.
The EOS ERC20 tokens were used only for the snapshot to verify how many EOS you had. Those tokens are now frozen forever.
You can wait until Exodus implements the wallets into the app but this may take some time. You would have to contact them regarding this though.
You are now able to access your native EOS from an EOS wallet using the EOS keys you got from registering.

Most of the airdrops that have been given were before the mainnet launched. You would have to contact the teams that are giving out the airdrops to get an answer to why they decided to drop as ERC20 tokens. This has nothing to do with EOS.

We only have eosDac as "most of the airdrops give before". Most are given after eos mainnet is it not? Its has all to do with eos for it is given because of eos not because of ethereum. Get it?

Fractional reserve allocates unused bandwidth
Can a developer trust that fractional reserves will cover their needs, or should they acquire/lease what they deem necessary? If 50% of resources are not utilized/allocated , and I need 2% of system resources, should I just get 1%, or slightly more, of bandwidth?

You can definitely trade them. The price doesn't change without it being traded. :)

Which airdrop? There's been several.
Daz. I only received meet.one airdrop buy there are other airdrop like tokena, Eon, Eox, which I have not received. I was in a impression that the Airdrop would be dropped to ur Eos address but I don't see them in my Eos wallet

That’s incorrect, it’s only free to use if you own enough tokens for the bandwidth and ram required

Nope. Haha if you own enough then there is no point of rental argument. Ok if you have enough then it free, no need to rent. Jesus
