If you stake more to CPU, you get more CPU power, if you stake to Bandwidth, you get more bandwidth. A non-dapp developer probably requires much more CPU than bandwidth though😝

If however sending to exchange it’s very important to add memo the exchange gives you as this identifies your exchange account.

Did you register your ethereum address during the token sale and recieve an EOS keypair? If the answer is YES then you are good to go, otherwise you need to use the fallback method I mentioned above.

If you registered, then you **should** already have your private key, if you were fallback registered, you need to take further action to obtain your EOS private key, if you are unregistered without fallback, you have to wait. Yeah… There’s ledger support now. Though, It was actually impossible for native ledger apps for a while (limited external calling capabilities), but then they released Ledger Live which expanded the API 🙂

Trezor could be tough, it’s definitely possible as long as there is a browser integration, but their native API is limited ATM (ledger made a really positive step with Ledger Live)

One question on ledger nano s. Will they support the use on the likes of eostoolkit etc, only reason I ask is staking tokens such as horuspay and karma next week I guess can't answer but just wondering.

remember, wallets are just tools to access the account. The account is protected by the Owner key being kept private. You should only use wallets that never share your private key and are open source. Also, ONLY use your active key when needing to use a private key for access to tools like scatter and wallets.

I have my account set up like this: I use a alarm bot to notify me of any activity on my account name. @EOSAlarmEBot Owner permission has a private key / Public key (cold storage, paperwallet, safety deposit box buried 6 feet deep) Active permission has a separate keypair (used for everyday activities connecting to dapps etc etc) If my everyday activities (ACTIVE keys) ever get me in trouble and my keys are compromised, I can dig up my owner keys and "change the locks" on my active permission. (https://eostoolkit.io/account/permissions) If you have your tokens STAKED then you have the added security of 3 days (72 hours) to change your keys before a hacker can move your tokens off your account.

This sort of question highlights how our current sloppy use of language is causing a bit of confusion. You don’t have a owner and active ‘key’ you have an owner and active ‘key pair’. One ‘key pair’ has two keys: one public key, and one private key. I think that’s right anyway...

generate a new key pair. Hand write down the private key portion twice. use the validator to type it back in to make sure you can reproduce your hand written copy. then NEVER allow that private key back on a device that connects to wifi unless you need to change the active and owner permissions because of tampering.

It does cost circa $120k to pay for the RAM to airdrop on eos. But you can create an airgrab and have the user pay their own RAM (around $1) and drop for almost nothing. You need to stake eos for CPU and NET, however these are not "costs" as you will get it back when you sell. It's more like a capital allocation rather than a true expense. Even RAM will be recoverable if and when the dApp is removed from the network (failed etc) Do Dapps on ETH get their GAS back when they fail??? How much to ETH projects pay just to get their tokens listed, while oes has an ecosystem of DEX that's super simple to use... Looking at ETH as a cheaper option is only true if you plan to do not actual business on ETH, assuming you actually want adoption and use...,, EOS is way cheaper
