Lemme put it this way. Without greymass' node, almost all wallets would stop functioning. We have our own account API that we pay a few thousand dollars a month to maintain simply because everyone else shut down their history nodes.

I think truely immoral content on dapps will be dealt with and removed by the dapp itself, in just the same way centralised apps do today. If, however, a dapp is itself defined by the immoral behaviour, like a dapp that shares _____ videos, then this is one area where the referendum can be used. I think a dapp specialising in sharing baby photos (not the nice kind) will do more to galvanise the EOS community than anything so far and spur people into actively participating in EOS govenrnance by way of voting in a referenda. Nothing will unite self-serving whales, charitable hodlers, vote buyers, anarchists, communists, small, tiny and large token holders than a referendum to censor said 'baby photo dapp' back under the rock from where it crawled.

In short by using referenda to censor, content that goes against our collective humanity has a chance to be snuffed out on EOS. But attempts to censor subjective national/cultural/political etc issues will never get far due to a high bar for referenda to be passed and to our extreme decentralised ecosystem accross, geo-political, cultural etc lines.

Check Add Keys —> Create Key —> Key to create the new key. 2. The current SEC precedent is that anything with an expectation of return is a security. So in theory it could be. But so far what we've seen is they're content to target obvious scams. But they obviously will have a larger role with institutional investors like Bakkt and Fidelity coming in.

Fairy wallet is for use with a ledger nano s. At the moment your eos private key is not held with a ledger device, so you need (at least initially) to use a different wallet. There are many available. You can import your private key into a wallet such as scatter or greymass and that will give you access to your tokens. All but ten of your eos tokens are staked. You can unstake them if you wish.

By the way you don't need to/can't export your tokens to any wallet. They are on the eos blockchain already waiting for you. Wallets are just tools for accessing and controlling your eos account, and don't hold any tokens.

If you want to use a ledger nano s you can change your eos account keys to the key from your ledger. Scatter, greymass and fairy wallet are all compatible with ledgers. There are others too, such as the web wallet altshiftdev.com

No you can't. @whalefam won't be talking about a genesis account like yours, they must've created a new eos account to do that. (Well technically it would've been possible to have a genesis account with a key controlled by a ledger, but it's unlikely to be the case here).

FairyWallet is very limited in what it can do for you, and Scatter can do it all right away. Just Add Keys --> Import Key --> Hardware --> Choose the nth key you want (e.g. 0 for first EOS key from Ledger, or 1 for second EOS key) and that's it. Then you can log into any dapp with Scatter and sign any kind of transaction with your Ledger.

You would have to use a wallet other than fairy initially. Then you can either: • create a new eos account using key(s) from your ledger, unstake tokens in your old account and send them to the new account • change the keys for your genesis account to the key(s) from a ledger nano s You can then use your ledger with any or all of a number of wallets, some of which I mentioned earlier.

Remember, you don't move tokens between wallets, but between eos accounts. You can have an eos account and access the same account using multiple wallets. You could have umpteen different wallets installed, and choose whichever you like, and a different one each time if you really wanted to.

yea, they told me for months i would be able to claim my second eos account and now they just refuse to and i lost half of the worbli i should have gotten. all because they were not able to implement a system to not only register one eos account, but many, it seems so easy as a software dev, i dont even get why they never gotten around to it.

one of the problem with Worbli is they are too stupid to understand why people are reluctant to do KYC with them. they think it's because people are running from the IRS. I read their announcement. At the bottom it says users had enough time to evaluate Worbli, but I don't think anything changed since launch? My metric was something in their Financial Services Network coming onboard, but their post suggests they have to stop claims for that to take place - which removes my ability to observe such growth. Not really. You can set some block explorers to hide small transfers. It doesnt cost any of your resources, just spam in the history.

i have to admit, for the most part blockchain+games really baffles me. I get it if I can use the gold mined in that game as gold in another game. Thats pretty gool. in a centralzied system like most games, the transactions are free regardless of how little. And in game ownership of assets are generally well attached to your account. I see HOW blockchain is used for these things in game, I’m not seeing WHY. It is cheaper on the back end somehow? Is something simpler?

And finally of course being able to swap items from one game for items in another is a huge benefit as well. If you've put 2000 hours into CSGO and decide never to play again, all those skins can be traded for new items in the next game you choose to play instead of going `item -> fiat -> item`

the only games which make sense on EOS are mmorpg’s, the only one is eosknights right now and i surely don’t play it because it is so much fun :) Playing witcher 3, that is fun, but I don’t see a game of that caliber coming anytime soon to the EOS ecosystem.

Doesn’t have to be MMORGs, could be any game with items you want to own. Could be Fortnite and special skins/dance, Red Dead Redemption or GTA with unique guns/cars/mounts, racing games with special parts, sports games with unique players, BOTW with foods/potions. I don’t know why it has to be limited to MMORGS.

Understood. My thought is that single player games with an online market would work just as well. EOSKnights isn’t really a MMORG, in my opinion it’s an (idle) RPG with a centralized marketplace. Semantics perhaps. Technically I’m EOSKnights I really don’t own my assets as I can’t send them to another account directly or see the items/materials on my EOS accounts.
