The best thing EOS user can and should do. Have 2 accounts. One should be the savings account...which holds 90+ percent attached to a hardware wallet. And. The 2nd account is your "checking" account....where you can "check" out all the scams or legit sites. Just like in the real world...why the hell will you walk around with your entire savings. And the best thing is that you can delegate the resources from savings to the checking...simple.

Maybe one account you keep cold and another account on your phone, in which you are your own proxy for your other account, able to cast votes for whole holdings but technically unable to have proxied tokens stolen. . Sounds possible.

It's a great product, but it's not really on-chain. There's a physical link on USD balance bank ledgers, and it keeps the peg. So you have to trust the bank and auditors. In case of Dai, collater in Ether is held on-chain and can be checked. And instead of banks and auditors, you can check integrity as long as you trust Ethereum only.

And why would 42 prevent collusion? It is absolutely no problem to run 2 EOS nodes instead of one. I think 21 BPs are enough and with IBC and side chains coming, collusion will become more apparent.

Well, it’s not for me to tell, but I think two reasons: 1. You have to port all the contracts written in Solidity into virtual machine of EOS 2. Ethereum community is strongly united around Dai, so Maker wouldn’t be developing in on EOS themselves

It's a double edged sword, depends entirely what the money/token is set out to accomplish/achieve. Uncontrolled inflation is often bad, Limited, scheduled inflation with logic behind it is more likely to be useful/beneficial.

You need to stake for throughput. You only need ram for long term storage. You can sell ram, but so far outside of a few rare instances early on, speculating on ram hasn't been a good idea

It depends what you mean. They are frozen, so you can't move them. But if you held them when they were frozen you can almost certainly access your eos account where you'll see an equivalent balance of tokens on the eos blockchain. Does that make sense? Were you asking for a specific reason?

The incentives seem to be primarily for administrators and moderators but tapatalk will also permit for anyone to buy Gold Points to acquire digital products with them, make donations. Each time users deposit funds on their wallet the admins will get some bonuses. So there will be wallets for users and I imagine that there must be a reason for users to deposit tokens in there

It’s hilarious how little coverage effect, spade, tapatalk etc are getting. Dpos is a black sheep. If any little shit dapp moved to tron or eth the news would be screaming it for weeks. Major dapps move from multiple chains to eos and you’d barely know it if you weren’t on telegram

If I were to guess, the probably took a look at the landscape, scraped a few projects and decided to focus on more fundamental stuff like ibc, software upgrades, better security etc.

When you create an EOS account you have to stake Resources (EOS tokens) then you can make transactions on any Dapp (gambling). In one sence you already had paid that transaction.

I was looking for some more info on spade but their last social media post are months old and although their website is very nice it’s difficult to contact them. The only post I’ve seen was that one on reddit but it’s not enough to get some reliable information.

you can set it up either way.. The easier way is to have people bring their own bandwidth.. EOSBet setup their own account system where they pay all the cpu/net for those users who have setup an account with them..

Today as every year I was in capital link in Athens which is a big shipping event.last year I beraly listened to the word Blockchain and shipping people thought it would be far away..this year there were 2 panelists saying that Blockchain can change the way shipping is done.next year everyone will see the effect of the Blockchain in shipping. 90pc of goods worldwide are transferred via vessels. Ok. So I dispute the ridiculousness of the number of users but I have to qualify it with my own guess??..how strange. Put it like this. There are 7.5 billion ppl on earth and if you read the 300 million at face value that would equate to 4% of the population on the platform (approx on that platform). They may have 3-5 million unique users and that would still be superb news for eos. It would be refreshing for some of the news article and community you tubers to apply some common sense and dropping the ridiculous number. It belittles them. When you use that account creation service you're supposed to generate your own key pair. This involves securely creating a private key and a public key to go with it.
