Unfortunately we can not have mass adoption and expect all users to properly manage private keys. I think there can be a balance. We need trusted custodians who can manage private keys on behalf of those who are unable, but still encourage individuals to learn how to manage their own keys for ultimate security.

Eos allows great flexibility of control over accounts compared with most cryptocurrencies. It allows for weighted permissions in all manner of combinations. So we can have a situation where the user retains control but can fall back on a range of third party companies/friends et cetera of they get into trouble. There's no need to have third parties who are full custodians, although it could be a useful option in certain cases. The ecosystem is still young, so as yet there aren't any easy to set up, convenient to use solutions to take advantage of the myriad great features embedded in the eosio code. (@Wof310)

Just a general heads up and a word of caution. EOSex is currently on a 7 and 1/2 hour delay on withdrawls from their site. If you use them, you may want to check and make sure everything is ok. Currently they are pending a 147 EOS withdrawl and only have 21 EOS in their account. Not sure if they have others accounts, they have no children accounts and I don't see any deposits coming in besides customer ones. Anyhow, just becareful out there with those centralized exchanges.

Since you are censoring my messages inside of your chat room for EOSex I figured I would try you here. EOSex owes me 147.73045364 EOS from 9 hours ago. You state that you NEED is my email address for you to figure out which withdrawl I am referencing.... however considering you only do about 24 withdrawls in an ENTIRE day, is it really that hard to track down the 147.73045364 EOS withdrawl request which was done at 08:50:03 on 2019-02-19? You stated to me that it if you gave this information to one of your admins then they would need "to go searching through records".... Are you stating that your database and software is so poorly designed that it can only be searched via email address? Do you guys not keep track of time and dates when transactions happen? Do you not keep track of the outbound emails which have been sent to me? All your admin needs to do it is to search the sent box for 147.73045364 and they will find my email address. You keep stating to me over and over that you are the CEO and I can trust you, but this is Telegram, and no one is to be trusted on here, unless you truly know them. You told me the reason for the, now 9 hour delay,is because security is a top concern and you guys don't keep a lot of funds in your hot wallet..... so, it is clear that you are aware of using caution in this space. Yet, you rudely tell me over and over that this delay is really my fault since I won't turn over my email address (which is what is used to LOGIN in to your system) to a complete stranger over telegram? That is not very safe. My biggest concern right now is if you guys are competent and solvent. Thus far you have shown that you are not able to keep track of your own transactions, that you can not search your own records and you are unable to transfer 147.73045364 EOS less the 21.1667 you currently have in hot storage in under 9 hours. The complainer in this post fails to understand that B1 is not a 100 devs working on 1 task at a time. Complaining about "revolutionary applications" happening in a specific order is nonsensical when many teams are working on different projects simultaneously. Further, there's likely a significant lack of understanding on that person's part about single vs multithreading and the challenge in making multithread actually faster than single as opposed to stitching multithread into EOSio for the sake of claiming it's a feature. Sounds like just another ranting complainer with limited perspective on the matter.

It's the same as all the trash launched on eos so far. Just a sea of garbage projects. Scatter is awesome, dgoods is needed... anything else? I mean the IQ guys teamed up with that chemtrail youtube guy so I have no faith in their credibility. And nothing else springs to mind. Ethereum may be behind the times, but teams and projects on that platform pale eos in comparison. And why? We need more tools for devs to help create a more robust programing environment. But instead we have block.one teasing wallets that are not needed, and disappearing for months at a time to work on a social media platform that no one wants.

Keep in mind that it is in the best interest of everyone if Block.One doesn't care or advertise about the EOS token and Mainnet. Which should start first the chicken or egg. Dude there is a clear paradox underway. I'll try and be concise. Decentralisation is a key aspect of crypto blockchains (i personally don't rate it as much as your average crypto idealouge). Decentralisaton works hand in hand allowing communities to lead the way. This is what block.one are trying to do with these intriquete voting systems. They are letting the community, data suggests the community does not want to lead. The reality is most in crypto are here for gains but use the cover of idealology (decentralisation) me included, I wouldn't be here without the potential payoff. Still I have staked more than 90% of my holding and played ball. people are not voting this suggests my theory is on key - they don't give a fck about decentralisation. Clearly the mob is fickle and the herd is herd-like.

It’s already a pretty direct bet on Dan, what do you think happens to EOS price if Dan leaves/other? I think there should be more diversity with 1/2 rising star & promoted developers supported by B1, it will also take some of the pressure off Dan. The other leads can pander to the community consensus of EOS priorities while Dan can focus on what drives/inspires him at that time. hi all, today my EOS account had strange reccored on "updated permission group owner" and "updated permission group active" some one not me did it. Seems like someone got access to my account and also inititate refund of EOS from stacking. I still have access to account, can login in to scatter, have not tryed yet to send tockens thought. However when i tryed to change permitioon back to my key, it did not let me do that.

To be fair to scatter, the scam isn't using a misleading scatter command. The scam asks people to sign a transaction using the eos updateauth action which changes an account's keys. This isn't specific to scatter. Since the scam surfaced though, scatter has been updated to warn people if they try to use updateauth.

A hardware wallet doesn't necessarily help in this situation. Users are signing transactions which change their account's keys. This can still be done with a hardware wallet. Users need to check what they are signing.

The 2nd account is your "checking" account....where you can "check" out all the scams or legit sites. Just like in the real world...why the hell will you walk around with your entire savings. One of the things they're working on is RIDL and RIDL defender to help us mark threatening sites and addresses for other users. But scammers are always looking for a back door. So be vigilant, and if you aren't sure you can trust what you're signing, don't sign it.

In my experience, and in that of the handful of people I've asked, people are taught in UK schools to not use the serial comma. That fits with what I just read on Everipedia which suggests that, if anything, it's more widely used in American English. I've only looked into it a little, but did so because I was curious after you used it as a basis for stating that @The_th1rd isn't from the UK.
