I used scatter instead of ledger. I noticed in colin's video, and then on eosflare, that his transactions show as "staked to rex" whereas when I sent EOS via scatter, it shows up as "buy rex" (a regular send transaction). I wonder what's up with that difference?

Same across all portals. Borrowers get no voting authority when borrowing. They're only borrowing the CPU and NET capacity of the tokens, nothing else.

Eosauthority are well known and trusted, and REX has been examined and tested. Always make sure you check what you're signing, in case you've accidentally gone to a phishing website. Also if your eos tokens are staked that's a great safety barrier.

I just went to check your voting portal and this is true that it adds BPs before signing the transactions. I choose 27 and Scatter shows me 28. I deselect your BP and it puts it there automatically wthout my consent!

Can scatter still change my private keys on my ledger???

If any web app could change your nano s private keys, that wouldn't say much for the ledger. It is designed to keep your private keys safe and not allow access to them (other than through the 24 word mnemonic backup sheet which you fill in and keep safe during setup). All of the ledger's keys are derived deterministically from the mnemonic and cannot be 'changed' unless you reset add change the mnemonic. Maybe you're getting confused by the fact that various software wallets are able to offer you many different public keys from your ledger. That's just because the ledger can iterate through the address level of the derivation path (0, 1, 2...) which is still derived from it's mnemonic. The only other source of confusion I can think of is that it's possible to change an eos account's keys. For an eos account where you have non-nano s private keys stored in a software wallet, you can change the account keys to be ones from the nano s. Then you need the nano s in order to do transactions. You can change the account keys back to non-ledger ones but this transaction would have to be signed by and confirmed on the ledger nano s. Does this clear things up, or have I misunderstood where you were coming from?

Until token holders exercise enough collective voting power to oust a BP, it sounds like a nice spin to me. BP's make the decisions period. This one just so happened to coincide with what many token holders want. Let's see them drop the inflation or burn the honey pot, or inact BP compliance or BP rotation. Just converted my holdings to REX. Even though I understood the process and double checked the contract details before allowing the transaction, not gonna lie, scared the hell out of me. Something about converting EOS tokens to REX tokens just makes me nauseous. Too many past mistakes buying bad tokens with good tokens 😂

I feel ya. I converted mine too and it made me sick signing it. Super bad feeling of "what if" went through me, then I was comforted in my blinding faith in the network itself 😁

I second this. I do like EOS authority interface but it is not fully working with ledger nano S when I tried. Bloks was easiest to get things to work for REX; EOS titan had the best overview/layout but also a couple of glitches that I believe are now fixed.

i got the ledger to work with ledger..... helps to go into your wallets first... that was my slight work around.

Any thoughts on this? So, when there are multiple side chains, there will have to be an exchange rate or conversion factor to the EOS token based upon the governance/inflation of the side chain - some side chains will choose to inflate their token supply and others not. I don’t think EOS can end up being the common token USED on each side chain, but will be the value reference.

If there are few objective hints (on-chain proofs) on such collusion, voters will act and vote out such BPs. This has happened with games.eos, many proxy and BPs pushed others into Top 21 to stop game.eos reaching the top position. Everything else is subjective which would be hard to proof currently.

The way I understand it, the "processing loan" takes 4 days and then is liquid to unlend. If you move it to "savings loan" it is like a staked loan that needs to be moved from savings (think unstaking) before it can become liquid (4 days)

Many things are debatable, we expected launch in late July, until big.one jumped the gun and activated the chain. I would keep on repeating this that 15% wasn't a good threshold. Also with EUA in force, the governance is complete, we may face issues as we had with interim, we would need amends so it's a continuous process.
