I think the reality of how things will shake out will look much more like a multi-chain future. Each blockchain has its strengths and weaknesses. DApps will build on them according to their needs/requirements, which may involve several chains for different things (mApps - multi-chain applications). No transaction fees, high TPS and more IBC options will make EOS appealing as the base layer where mApps are controlled, but depending on the data and operations being handled, ETH & BTC May come into play.

Totally agree with you on the multi-chains. Like computer memory and processing power always exponentially increasing, TPS on blockchains will have to dramatically improve for real world applications.

That’s true. but ETH are basing it on wishful thinking, EOS are basing it on fact. My mind was blown once I’d spent a day in the EOS ecosystem comapred to the lumbering expensive pain of my experience in ETH

The more I think about it, the more it seems the timing now for MEOS couldn't be better. It is almost like it was meant to be. -All time low in terms of trust for mainstream social media -Huge frustration about percieved bias and censorship -President of the most powerful country in the world airing disgust at social media regularly -Academic titans and rising stars such as Jordan Peterson being deplatformed, demonetised and also tweeting sentiments such as "we need new platforms" -In the non-political sphere, general people upset at data privacy -hacks and password leaks from social media If B1 was coming out with MEOS at any other time, two years ago, in two years time... I don't think it would have the same effect. June 1 might be just the right timing... down to the day. Like I said, maybe it is meant to be. Can B1 pull it off?

Thanks! Here's hoping. It just hit me that the timing for MEOS is just perfect. There are so much happening around the world in wildly different arenas that are impossible to be coordinated together by any one entity like B1 alone, that the timing is almost like serendipity. Hope it can be utilised to its full potential.

Depends on the purpose of the network. This is why eos is laughed at by real crypto folks. But, if the point isn't to be a store of value like bitcoin then it's not such a bad trade off. If eos is to be the adopted lightning network for settlement, social media, etc, it's a tradeoff worth making. Just remember their isn't a single way this could play out, there are many possible futures where eos is useless and the market gets eaten by more serious tech.

so. I don’t know yet the solution because each of them has some flaws. Be it clear that I'm not against whales. I think that whales have often much wider perspective on the world than the shrimps what makes them understand things better. How they’ll use the power is mere measure of their ethics. I believe that at certain point accumulated wealth and whatever you do with it becomes a civil responsibility. You’re no longer in your bubble but whatever you do with that money has an enormous impact or could potentially have on peoples lifes this is why it’s so important to have good whales who will foster the community’s potential instead of exploiting it for more power that at some point has nothing else in value than being a competition between whales for a status quo. Knowing who are the good ones and who are the selfish ones is not so easy though:)

When the top 1.9% of wallets own 90% of all EOS tokens, it quickly becomes apparent where any additional distributed inflation will end up. You’d be better off with overall lower inflation than paying for those who already own most of the EOS to have even more of it. Assuming you’re not part of the top 1.9%, then you’re going to end up with a tiny share of the remaining 0.1% if you vote for more inflation.

My point is that all crypto is nothing but free speech, but they regulate that speech as money transmission or as securities.
