How would “cost” be verified? Especially when cost is synomous with “inefficient” “Increasing inflation if BP cost goes up”.... how does this not incentivize BP’s to become more costly/inefficient?

With the REX it's seems to have solved the issue with very cheap resources for developers and decoupled the resource price from the EOS token price. If the EOS token goes up the resource price should still stay very low. But is there a solution for NEW ACCOUNT creation to make it free? That seems to be the next barrier.

Unfortunately I don't think it qualifies as a solution to this problem because the fees come from within the system. The additional 1% counter-inflation must come from outside the system as new inflation to work. That is my understanding of Greymass's article anyway.

It would only hurt the developers because they might not be using rex but if you’re using Rex and making more than 1% a year even if it’s from within the system it won’t matter to you because you’ll be beating inflation

Don't burn the 4%, put it in a fund to onboard new users easily for free like a Google account. Give people free services like email, excel, power point and word. What if we expanded our understanding a little bit further. It may be logical to propose one further step not covered by greymass. In my current state of understanding, wouldn’t the counterbalance to $/power concentration by “the few”/“BP’s” be the “voting power” concentration to the “masses”. By distributing money to “the masses” to offset the power garnered by “the few” we are doing nothing more than adding an extra 1% inflation to the system. It adds no real counterbalance in terms of “power”. Distributing money is not the same as distributing power. Keep 1% for BP production. The balance we are seeking will be found in BP voting. 1 “verified” person, 1 vote. In this way we give the “power” of one person’s vote, not the decentralized version of the “power” of money. For 1% of EOS divided by the masses will do nothing compared to the 1% divided by the top 21 or 100 BPs. The next two steps would be 1. Make it illegal to buy votes in any manner whatsoever. Details will need to be fleshed out but should be doable. 2. Create an incentivized system to reward voters at random. If there is to be any additional 1% as greymass proposes it should be distributed in this manner. Apologies for the crude analysis, it’s late and it has been a long week. Hope to flesh this out after some deeper thought this week. All input/discussion appreciated.

Need 1 verified user, 1 vote. Voting is the counterbalance to BP power. 1% BP rewards are not the issue. BP influence on 1. “community” decisions 2. BP top 21 voting influence are the current issues. The counterbalance to BP voting power is decentralization of voting power. The system should encourage voting in some way. Maybe random voter rewards, I’m sure the community can flesh this part out. The other necessity would be to create “law” that prohibits vote buying. If proven in some user defined manner, penalties should be severe. I open this for healthy debate!

I used my EOS to buy POKER tokens. I staked the POKER tokens on the platform to collect daily dividends. The developer quit the project, and the tokens became worthless. I lost my investment. Only invest what you are willing to LOSE completely. That's how risky the gambling dapps are right now. DYOR always. Hope this helps

Yep, some are very very scared of how powerful this tech and community could be, and some of the fud against wps is due to that. Some of the people against it are citing structural flaws and i agree that there is work to do before trying it on eos, which could possibly damage the concept completely if not done right.. I would like to see many attempts at wps and the like on 2nd layer dapps in hopes of bringing it to eos, but i would really like to see a little financial support for those goals, from eos. Im not sure how, but these are big goals that would be revolutionary if successful, and that will take resources to have a solid attempt.

In the same way that some ICO's were backed by successful people and became successful projects, many of these airdrops are building and creating value too. Each airdrop is an opportunity. You can sell for more EOS or hold for future potentiol. I am holding almost 100% of my airdrops for at least 3 years giving these tokenized projects plenty of time to find value. You win some you lose some. I'm happy to support any good project on EOS so long as it lifts up the community

@tokenomiks how do we convince all REX tool creators to use a universal set of terms? I really feel the way bloks tags items is the one that creates the least confusion. Processing loans just moved to liquid loans today for me. Savings loans, etc., it is all very intuitive to what REX is there should be no use of "buy" and "sell". New people pulling from exchanges are going to get confused and then scared and then overwhelmed.

Our approach was contrary to everyone elses. It was an actual mandate not to use the words (buy, sell, price) in almost all our tools and publications (price is unavoidable). But this is not the popular approach. Most devs just copied over the names of the functions in the code. They show you how the hot-dog is made, they don't just give you a hot-dog cart haha. To each their own 😊, would be a shame if all portals were the same wouldn't it? EOS Authority certainly made an impressive portal, no doubt there. Our REX philosophy is one-click. Our design philosophy is simplicity. There is a reason Apple people hate android, and Andriod Apple 😂

The UI is really nice, but the terms keep confusing people I am trying to help learn. They think they are buying REX tokens with EOS tokens, etc. Not trying to bash any of the great tools or teams work, just suggesting a universally agreed set of terms for the actions would be really helpful to new people. EOS Authority has done tons to make REX a reality. Them and Cafe should be parked in the top ten BP slots in my opinion. Can't name a single thing any of those currently holding the positions have done for me. Wish I had B1's tokens to vote with, we would see some radical change then.
