yes, you need to create an eos account if you don't already have one. And yes, If you lose access to scatter, you can set it up again and connect it to your ledger to access your eos account.

Nice write up. The past year was a good lesson for me and I think that we needed the WPS at the beginning rather than now when most of the job has been already done. There will be always something to do but I think we should leverage first this community first before setting up systems difficult to control. I think that lowering the inflation now is a good choice and in case we need it we can bring it up again for a good reason. Until the. It has no sense diluting the value and taxing people. They need to specifically agree to it first in a proper referendum process

Without unique identity or a diverse, centralized body of known members helping direct the funds - public funding for a WPS is easily gameable and broadens the opportunity for BPs to backdoor the additional funding. That's why it's so hard. Nearly every other chain is battling the same thing.

I agree with you. im more playing devils advocate on this and any upside to not removing all of the additional 4%. I think in general there should be some form of offsetting the 1% bp pay...a 1% ubi to unique identities is one way...thats all

What isn't working about it? Is the dropdown empty or is there some sort of error? If it isn't working, you can always use the "Account Name" option and just type in the account name, amount, and memo. Using the "Exchanges" option isn't a requirement for depositing into exchanges, all it does is fill in the "Destination Account" for ya.

Immutability is really a silly idea, when hundreds of millions can be stolen at once. The idea is as antiquated as blockchain 1.0 and is one of the reasons that Bitcoin will never see mass adoption. EOS already has recourse for theft and fraud built-in to the Constitution. Offenders can lose their account and all assets.
