Any thoughts on this? So, when there are multiple side chains, there will have to be an exchange rate or conversion factor to the EOS token based upon the governance/inflation of the side chain - some side chains will choose to inflate their token supply and others not. I don’t think EOS can end up being the common token USED on each side chain, but will be the value reference.

I agree, there was an inefficient situation before where 90% of resources were idol, but had limited means of offering them out. Now we have a mechanism at system level. I have a hard time seeing it as negative.

So the question is, if we wanted a bot, to execute this trade, and then repeat, what would that look like? The discount will always be the same, here is rough estimate at 600 cost, and the sell will be roughly 10% MORE So, how would we set up the market, so that Industry can purchase the blocks, while traders bots can sell, and repurchase? To manually rebuy and then put for sale seems simple, but the sale may occur at some random time. So it seems we need an automation of the trade, so the human does not wait around for days or weeks to execute.

A 28d lease currently pays 1.5% APR on Chintai by comparison. I think we will see the market equalize out. Right now there’s much more supply than demand on REX and CPU/NET in general which is reflected in the APR to lenders and the historic rates on Chintai. CPU isn’t in demand right now.

the way I see it the main achievement of REX is to do with resource sharing to developers and businesses; it contributes further to the solution of the mass-scalability of the network for dApps. it's great that sharing resources returns "a profit share", but more importantly the thing the EOS ecosystem will benefit from is if we have a network that is scalable and cheap to develop on - we can worry about prices/value to early investors in a few years.

You need to have good dapps for the platform to survive. The way to do that is offer cheap onboarding so that more people flock to eos. Once there are enough successful dapps the demand for resources will increase, and with it, the price.

Agreed 😁, And after that, it's proof of working governance. It was dreamed up but DL, it was built by block one, it was proposed as a referendum by the community. It was extensively tested by BPs who found and fixes many bugs (EOS Authority Rocks!!), and it was the first major core system changed voted in by 15/21. I often make this same analogy. A large plot of valuable and bountiful land with a LOT of resources and everyone is busy building right now. Once the buildings are up, many people will start to move into the "promised land" of EOS

Agreed 😁, And after that, it's proof of working governance. It was dreamed up by DL, it was built by block one, it was proposed as a referendum by the community. It was extensively tested by BPs who found and fixes many bugs (EOS Authority Rocks!!), and it was the first major core system changed voted in by 15/21. A far superior system then any other blockchain project IMO 👍.

I have the impression that the improvements on EOS chain regarding resources (REX, upgrades..etc) will affect the value of the token, as Dapps dev will need less and less token to build. sure, the trade off is the resources costs.. as they go down, the incentive to stake for rewards lowers too and token holders want lambos, not lada's The improvements also bring in new dapps new devs, new possibilities which increase the speculative price of the asset which you can find out about here @eosprice I think it's great that we're making so many improvements. We literally are blazing past everyone else in the industry and they're so caught up in who's fork is better that nobody really notices yet. 🤣

depends on the year. Imagine owning a HUGE apartment block, fully furnished. You have 1 renter. That is the scenerio you described for REX, but EOS is just starting out. The dapps being built are getting attention. Once that takes place, the rex rewards will increase as usage does.

I do kinda think 2-3% is an ideal inflation rate... but thats mostly based on existing fiat currencys
