I'm undertaking a "listening tour" via video calls to reach out to whales (holders of over 1 million EOS tokens) to understand their concerns, answer any questions I may have, and brief them on the Alliance @EOS_alliance . I'll also be asking them to vote explicitly for or against BPs based on the whale's beliefs about BPs obeying the Constitution, specifically EOSDAC, who is most outspoken in claiming that BPs shouldn't behave as if they were bound by the Constitution. This will yield one of three results - EOSDAC may gain votes because whales agree with this stance; EOSDAC may lose votes because whales disagree, or EOSDAC may not see any changes related to this because whales may not care. (I'm hoping to cut through the noise of vote shifts with a clear signal on a specific and I believe urgent topic, and inspire a little more voter activism.) I'll also ask the whales to please be prepared to vote in the upcoming referendum, on the initiative being put out by the Synchronize project. To the extent I learn anything, I'll share it, while maintaining confidentiality. If you are a whale or know one, please PM me so we can set up a call.

The keygen was forked from the eosio code with everything but keygen stripped out, the code is auditable, hosted on github pages and did not change at any point beyond initial changes to do anything malicious.

I'm quite literally a "Joe 6-pack" of EOS if anyone cares for a random sample of n=1. My qualifier follows as such: I'm a non-affiliated/independent community member with some weight to my vote. My primary income has been crypto for 7 years through mining, trading, investing, lending, and professional employment. A significant portion in '18 was efforts related to EOS (non-trading). I've followed EOS conversations daily as part of my self-employed day job across many channels since Fall 2017. I have grown equally discontent with the execution and pace of this interim "C" drafted in the 11th hour by a small few that I consider unrepresentative of the EOS population, rife with unenforceable articles and defended with incapable arbitration, rhetoric, hyperbole, ad-hominem, and broad disconnect from my libertarian/cypherpunk/Austrian values. I'm not a maximalist, as evidenced by my willingness to venture well-outside my PoW roots here, but I do see more and more clearly the effects of old world politics attempting to bootstrap that familiar governance ontop of DPoS. I've long-waited for referendum to retire the current document so this community can move forward effectively, dismantling impotent bureaucracies seeking to access system funds as income, by utilizing DPoS' native governance mechanisms - revered as foundational governance followed second by paper governance. I'm completely content with the BPCs that have spoken out against the constitution, both those that do so while abiding and those that don't. The incentive structure and punishment structure of EOS outside of DPoS are balatantly irrelevant from my perspective and dissention is perfectly appropriate as peaceful protest.

Remove the fear of whales and/or BPs abusing power to self-fund projects from the WPS "honeypot". 2. Drive community participation with skin in the game. 3. Provide developers a virtually free team of marketers (EOS community members that invested in them) 4. Remove the threat of increasing float from the 4% inflation being introduced to the market 5. Solve scaling concerns of project funding by removing an Emergency Committee paid bureaucracy. 6. Provide freedom for developers to structure their pitches for funding anyway they choose 7. Encourage entrepreneurship by removing any middlemen between the dev and the user.

I believe this would be a better solution to funding than adding another unelected, unkown committee that decides the worthiness of a developer's efforts to be funded on behalf of the community. ECAF can't scale to meet the dispute claims. Why would 7 individuals be able to coordinate and scale a WPS that funds all the potential projects developers are interested in building on EOS?

Your account name (12 characters) is your wallet. Everything else is an interface that allows you to input your private keys to do transactions. (scatter, greymass, simpleos) You can just check your balance anytime using a block explorer. (bloks.io)

NEVER trade, or sell your genesis account if you have one, and NEVER lose the original keys that you registered with. Even if you change your private keys for active and owner (and you should) because sister chains and forks might use the genesis snapshot so you'll need those keys and that account.

you just need your eos account name. forget about sending "to a wallet", you are sending to an eos account. a wallet is just a way to access that eos account with your private key in order to make tranasction FROM it.

Yeah, the typical gambling dapp will excite everyone with unsustainable mining models like 100x tokens for every 1 eos bet in the beginning. So whales will come and max bet the path of least resistance (95% chance dice rolls etc etc) and dump their ridiculously cheap tokens onto the market, because the money and volume they create into the dividend pool looks fantastic, but again it is unsustainable.

Hi, I was on here about 24 hours ago because I was having difficulty sending EOS with the fairy wallet. I was getting a failed transaction error... It was recommended that I use the Scatter wallet. I downloaded the newest version and things seemed great, until I tried to send funds... I have the correct address & memo, I hit confirm on the scatter wallet. no confirmation show up on my ledger, and the loading icon keeps spinning but nothing ever happens. I let it spin for hours & nothing occurred. any ideas??

those tokens stay on ETH and can't be moved now they became locked on whatever day that was. they then created those tokens on the EOS chain and created accounts based on the snapshot of registered tokens on ETH. when you registered you were provided with a key pair. Use that to access your tokens on EOS

Think of EOS as a shared computer. You stake EOS on CPU and NET to lease those resources and allow you to perform transactions. You purchase ram to allow data to be stored on your account. In reality CPU is the main one you need. I've never needed NET and have only spent about 2 EOS on RAM

i think the eos community should find ways to select the best bps for its platform by not focusing solely on voting for each bp...maybe we should have a list of things the community wants its platform and vote for that and any bps that can bring those services online will be among the 21

If people adopt EOS as currency, nothing Dan can do unless he will be able to convince community to change. EOS atm has a loophole allow people use it as currency without fee.

Touche', propose not complain.. Suddenly, I'm much more a fan of different kind of trustless world and removing the dependence of putting people in those positions in the first place.. How would these issues be solved in an abundant and money less world were everyone truly owned everything? Can't take away access to what is theirs. Even while trying to construct a framework that would respect people's desire for private projects and events, can not rely on a right to restrict that person from being wherever they damn well please. . I imagine this issues has been discussed in great length by the burning man community regarding private camps, and the use of "bouncers" vs less forced based measures of resolving those issues. I could imagine the current burning crowd leaning towards the side of violence due to the predominance of the property construct and not being able to imagine an alternative, but that doesn't make it correct... I still don't have a proposal for how it is done, but nonetheless feel they are important aspects to consider.

Thanks for your long reply. About burning man, I do not attend it. Violence will be harmful to both sides. I think in network, violence should be replaced by a revokable mark. This mark will be harmful to both sides too. But this rule is hard to learn for others. Maybe it is better to create a game to help others to learn.
