the cruise ship doesn't disappear hull first... there are videos on this.. but the further it gets away you have more distortion from waves and mist / etc - weather / humidity— so that's a reason in some cases yes the hull might APPEAR to disappear first.

I used to. And there are facts that disbeleivers overlook all the time (like its freaking clear that building 7 burned from the inside over hours….but how did it start?). But in time, it became clear to me that the government report was just another conspiracy theory, just like “Spare Change” and every other one. No one knows what happened.

depends on the direction the plane is moving... if for ONE example the plane moves perpendicular to the sun it sets like any other sunset just takes longer because of altitude. IF going twards the sun it still sets because the plane moves at 550mph while the sun is faster depending on the radius / season of it's circuit

Esentially eos doenst benefit technically except for good will for the technology... Which is not bad ....but building something on top of EOS is entirely a different thing ... You are confusing something here, eos.io is not a chain, it’s open source software and anybody can launch a chain with it and so did WAX with it’s own modifications. Also WAX is not on a side chain but it is a sister chain to the EOS network which the community considers as main network.

We are yet to see horizontal scaling with side chains. B1 is working on IBC which would help load transferring/revenue sharing to side chains which would help reaching millions TPS. Also with launch of 1.6 version update we may have improvement of 32% as suggested by B1. BOS is working on testing IBC which would be help experimenting with resource sharing and maximizing TPS.

Hello everyone, I'm new to EOS and I tried to create a new account over the Scatter Windows Desktop app. After choosing a name, it asked me to send 1.4327 EOS to the account createbridge with a specific memo. I transfered more then 1.4327 EOS to createbridge with the memo, however if I click on "create account" it shows "eosio_assert_message assertion failure". Does anyone know what is causing the error? At one point when IBC is in place, EOS will be just one token of many and its value will be determined by the dapps using it. There is no guarantee that EOS will be the “main” token or the most valuable one.

Community. Business and developer will be looking for the best tech and a good market for their dApps. If we offer best technology and robust governance structure, many business would be attracted to use EOS. Resources is something which is taken as a resistance to develop dApps on top of EOS, with IBC many such issues would be solved and we could attract many dApp businesses to run on top of EOS and offer solutions to thousands of community members involved.

But if there is no ecaf, there is no benefit and value added to those sister chains in that regard. Development of Ecaf and wps needs to be funded. I thought the entire basis of eos was to do just that, incentivized open source. ""If you believe in the freemarket, someone will seek the bounties"" why are the two systems that are vital to eos being eos suddenly to come from good will alone? It is a contradiction of ideology, precisely on the aspects that would put eos way out front. Was it all a marketing ploy and there was never a real intent? Hard for that not to seem like the case with zero funding to build out to address the fact that developments need funding. Kinda feels the same with ecaf in regards to doing a complete 180 on intention of there being any ecaf. There can be a million different sister chains, why don't people go there if they are only after the speed? Probably because their real mission is to fight the emergence of an actual cizilization because it doesn't look like their elementary preconceptions of anarchy or individualism.

There were few which attracted me to EOS as well. I initially thought ECAF and WPS are good ideas for governance and scalability. Something which changed my mindset around ECAF was lack of check and balances also scalability of the forums. It was just an experiment which meant to failed as it assumed many things like voters would follow all the awards rendered by the forums. What irks me a little about CDF is the emergency of launching it, I hope we move slowly towards launching something like WPS and play with the idea of voluntarism first, if it fails to fulfil the needs then something like CDF could be introduced. For now it is just promises of unknown proposals and developments.

Like those Chinese gambling dapps that use bots to generate volume and create buzz, in order to attract new users.

It really isn't bots...the sites themselves give you the autobet tool. This "game-mining" technique is interesting and could be the future of gaming. There are definitely flaws in today's model, but if you a commerical quality game implemented something like it

We could troubleshoot that (if you like). What do you mean 'can't set account'? You need an eos account with your ledger's public key. Do you have an eos account yet?

Ok. So you need to set up an EOS account first. I'd recommend using Lynx, as it makes it very easy to get started. A new account with Lynx will cost you €1. Once that's set up, and you have your 12 digit account address, you can go to Binance and withdraw to it.

An account always costs, because you need a minimum amount of EOS for CPU, And a tiny bit of RAM to get started. That's what you're paying for. But after you have your account set up there's no miner fees, or other transaction costs. But I agree they need to do away with any entry barriers if they want more people to get involved.

We're early adopters. There's a huge range of functionality and granular control with EOS. Because it's so early in the game, it's not reached the point where all these complicated aspects will not be seen by end users. Dapps can deal with it all once the foundations have been laid and built upon.

You can't transfer from mew. Those tokens are on ethereum and are frozen. It's all eos blockchain now.

Jack (of 💞): Anyone with genesis keys should absolutely change permissions, using two key pairs that you generated and validated yourself, as the very first action EVERY time they use the keys to access a new account created on ANY chain that used genesis snapshot, beginning with EOS, continuing on with Telos, EOSforce, etc. To do this you generate two key pairs, and validate them yourself using readily availible tools. Label one pair "Owner" the other "Active". Then import your Active Private Key into Scatter or Sqrl or Greymass or wallet of your choosing, and store (multiple copies) of both your genesis keys and newly created Owner Keys offline for possible use latter if/when another chain is launched using the genesis snapshot. This is just basic good key management practices no matter which wallet or toolkit you use. Sqrl and Scatter provide means to accomplish these tasks (you may need to use eostoolkit.io or portal.telosgermany.io if choosing the scatter path) Please take the time to learn this!

I have my account set up like this: I use a alarm bot to notify me of any activity on my account name. @EOSAlarmEBot Owner permission has a private key / Public key (cold storage, paperwallet, safety deposit box buried 6 feet deep) Active permission has a separate keypair (used for everyday activities connecting to dapps etc etc) If my everyday activities (ACTIVE keys) ever get me in trouble and my keys are compromised, I can dig up my owner keys and "change the locks" on my active permission. (https://eostoolkit.io/account/permissions) If you have your tokens STAKED then you have the added security of 3 days (72 hours) to change your keys before a hacker can move your tokens off your account.

btc wasn't meant to be crypto gold. it was meant to be usable electronic p2p cash. bch deviates from the 2009 satoshi quote of the version of the time being the final variant. segwit/core is the devil. bch is bae because they're allegedly working with an eosio sister chain.

I use only 1 Eth dapp. It's decentraland and it seems pretty cool so far even though it's not complete yet are relies on a sidechain to actually work at all.

I don't hink random would be a great idea, but if we tweaked randomness and focused on areas important to voters, we might get something greater than what we have now. I'd be all for term limits with random standby nodes taking the place of an expired term limit, but instead of just a set amount of time like 2 years in top 21 then swapped out, I'd like to see a element of randomness to the term limit so people can not predict and prepare for the random swap. That'd be kinda interesting.

Block.one would do well to encourage local grassroots efforts like these because the impression they leave is a lasting, quality one in the hearts and minds of freedom lovers new to crypto.
