If someone wants to simply buy and hold EOS and nothing more (the equivalent goal of buying BTC) it’s really gotten very simple. Lynx mobile is probably the quickest I’ve seen. Pay with your phone for the ram needed to create the account and fund it with EOS. Done deal.

i've used basically every resource available online to get everything up and running and kept yours open the whole time because even though it wasn't up to date, your process was more understandable and organized better so i kept going back to it. We definitely need more up to date EOS tutorials and such for new Devs. Not saying it should be you, you need to work on Scatter and RIDL lol. But we as a community need some more user friendly resources to help people get up and running and make the steep learning curve a bit more friendly.

Actually when you open a MEW wallet with a TREZOR cold storage You dont get a private key. You ise a secret “PIN” to enter the wallet. I have seen that question on reddit but with no definitive answer. I just want to know if the EOS ecosystem will recognize my erc20 token if I move them to another wallet

you won't be able to move them, the erc20 tokens are frozen now.. Your eos were put somewhere when mainnet was launched, you can find out where by searching eosauthority.com. Your going to have to figure out your private key on the trezor by using a BIP 39 converter to convert your mnemonic into a private key

You need to have enough tokens staked in terms of CPU to perform transactions. If you spam your cpu gets exhausted and you may need to stake more or wait for it to replenish.

Step one. create account on lynx mobile with a couple click. Step two. withdraw EOS from exchange to new account and stake for CPU. Step three. watch your account on eoscharge.io to see how many tx's you can do for that much cpu stake with any given dapp or action. Onboarding has gotten a lot easier over a short period of time and it's right around the corner for not having to interact with keys at all.

I'm just saying that we've got a legitimate competitor in Tron with huge momentum at the moment and an easier onboarding process and user experience (in my opinion). Those are the two key issues EOS needs to deal with. Then it's a matter of winning the PR war (in which EOS is also underperforming imo)

Gambling was easy because its easy to dev and uses finances. Problem is that most gambling sites are unlicenced so that is going to end badly. Eos moved into the mobile gaming scene tho, and is likely to bring in tools that people currently use on desktops but also use on mobile devices. I pretty much see EOS as the mobile dapp frontrunner.

Thats the same with TRON btw..There is no point to run everything on a blockchain. Have you checked, is your ethereum address eligible for fallback? There needs to have been an outgoing transaction before June last year (it needn't be eos tokens - any outgoing transaction).

Yes I am eligible to the fallback mechanism. I can see my token when im on eosautharity.com I am just not sure how to proceed from there. I have heard bad things about the BIP 39 (like now I ha e just defeated the purpose of cold storage by doing so)

Hello, I saw them. Eventually, I managed to create an account. The problem appeared when I tried to vote or to try to transfer some of my EOS. It askes to pair scatter but it doesn’t work... Also, when I check myEos it says still that it unregistered, although I created a username on eosauthority.com (might be a bug?)

Price by itself doesn't mean much. Make sure to compare the circulating supply. In this case: ETC Circulating Supply: 107,418,796ETC EOS Circulating Supply: 906,245,118EOS As you can see, EOS has nearly 9x as many tokens in circulation.

Circulation, but not float. You can monitor the total staked. It hasn't really changed in 7 months.

The only thing that matters in voting right now is that large wallets vote for each other. 1:1 will throw that out and all of a sudden individual user demographics will matter like it does in traditional voting systems we're familiar with outside of crypto. Groups of like-minded individuals will then mean something. There will always be trade-offs to system changes like that. It's hard to have the cake and eat it, too. Some of the BPs are most concerned that standby BPCs will be out of paid standby positions and we'll drop standbys significantly. It's all theory. The one thing that seems obvious is that 1:1 removes the 30x weight of a vote and increases resistance to voting cartels forming.

If you are a BP you will vote for yourself. You cannot create more wealth by selling your voting power. However BP's could still opt for vote buying schemes which I'm not sure how anyone can ever stop that. I will personally vote for an unpopular BP to assist with standbys
