Very simple onboard to EOS. I'd then suggest using a tool like Greymass EOS Voter or Scatter desktop to generate your new keys when you have a moment to make your account a bit more secure. Generate two pairs one for an owner pair and one for an active pair. It should be suggested automatically when an EOS account is created.

@railayed First open your mind about what EOS is. It's not just a currency, it's a shared and distributed computer system. Like a world wide UNIX box. Computers need, bandwidth to send and receive info, RAM to store information, and CPU to do the math. These resources are finite, but the EOS coins that you own allow you to claim or "stake" a portion of that resource for your account. That is the basics of what it's all about.

The private keys you received from registration can unlock your new eos tokens that exist on the mainnet. No. But some token projects require you to manually claim something with them, which could mean all kinds of things. Really up to each project. But typically a true airdrop means you just get tokens sent to your account without you having to do anything.
