John: Unfortunatly EOS arbitration in it's current form doesn't work. If there wasn't a lack of transparency you probably would have known about that phishing wallet. It sounds like the same EOS Wallet thought to have phished the keys from gm3dcnqgenes. Which, I think also had at least one 5k EOS tx to OTCBTCDOTCOM (whatever that is) The EOS core arbitration forum ECAF that is setup and controlled by a group of former Block One employees (recently in the news) doesn't help with provention in fact it probably causes more problems due to lack of transparency arising from a centralized ECAF attempting to mimick legacy arbitration systems. ECAF is also fee based so the more cases filled the more fees it generates. The ECAF schedule for filing a claim on an account the size of gm3dcnqgenes is around 7k+EOS. I imagine that claim was expediated in front of others.

I'm invested ino EOSIO, not another chain. And it's fine if there is some bp's from China, but when there are too many it does concern me, government regulations could influence the chain. There are multiple EOSIO chains being developed. You currently hold Mainnet token. You might like the governance model of Telos which will lead to less whales controlling BP selections and also does not allow (or highly disincentives anyway) exchanges becoming BPs. You might like Worbli. Worbli is bringing KYC/AML to the EOSIO network. Due to the inherent transparency, maybe this will lead to less whales? Not sure on this, need to do more research. Point is, forks are inevitable (and a good thing if you ask me). If Mainnet gets 'too' centralized, a major fork will take over. Mainnet token value will go up, and new 'best' fork's token value will go up. Nothing to be worried about as long as you are paying attention to participating in the newest forks :)

you used up you cpu.. whats happening is, when eos network isn't busy, you can use the unused CPU that is available... when eos gets busier, you get throttled back on how much of the unused cpu pool you have access to

Dont quite understand. The best way to secure your keys is to have your owner key be a one time use. Never type it in anywhere after generating it and keep it offline. If you notice your active key has been compromised you can you can use the owner to reset BOTH permissions right away. This can be done in wallets that allow permissions changes and web toolkits linked with scatter.

depositing EOS into your account doesn't cost anything other than exchange withdraw fee if applicable. Sending between EOS accounts is always free. You need to stake CPU resources to make this happen.

I'm not that informed with belator fighters. If you want a good fighter though, Mairbek Taisumov fighting for the UFC, won his last 5 fights, he had problems to get a visa into the US so that's why he is not that famous. I had the pleasure to train with him BJJ when he was 15, so talented and strong already back then, and drilled with him before he went full pro in M-1 and UFC

Instead of that we got classic DPOS (BitShares) with instead of 3, 6 seconds confirmation. Issue on BFT 'blocked' and Dan havent done single commit since launch of eosio. It smells bad, and it would not be first of his products to end up unfinished.

Hi, I have purchased eos token when they were 50 cents each and I have acumulated a good sum and stored it in my erc20 wallet.. now that I have considered getting rid of some.. I have made an attempt to try to send it to Bittrex and my old Eos tokens are stuck in myether wallet.. I was told that after the mainnet I needed to convert my tokens to the eos blockchain... and that there is a link to do it but I would need the private keys of myetherwallet to do it... so the issue is that I can access my ether wallet thru my trezor, which I have the private keys, but I don't have tye private keys of my ether wallet. Does anyone have an idea of what can be done? Please!

Nope. Im enough with BitShares, SteemIt, EOS now, Telos, Paleos... enough of Graphene is being forked around. Im interested in Dawn of EOS promises and later on why essentially EOS supposed to be advanced DPOS compared to others. Lambos arrived in the meantime, but transparency or deliveries are hidden somewhere in the closet. Now just waiting for that elusive "announcement" of HF and BFT coming there, so I can shoot more questions. But this time no stopping... To many billions for so much circus.

Linux on a USB stick, download bip39/44 converter, eoskey.io and eosc onto another USB stick, disconnect internet, boot into Linux, use bip39/bip44 converter to derive private key, use EOSkey app to convert to a eos private key, use eosc to load your key, use EOSkey to generate 2 new keypairs, save the new keypairs somewhere safe, use eosc to sign a updateauth transaction that sets new public keys for your account(using the public keys you just generated), clear your ram, likely unnecessary (https://unix.stackexchange.com/q/87908), save your signed transaction to USB drive, triple check everything, restart with internet into any system, broadcast signed transaction, if done correctly, your account would then be accessible with the private keys from the two keypairs you previously generated, wipe linux USB 3 or 4 times.

PLANNED UPDATES We've heard a lot of the feedback from the community (including from Dan) and we're very grateful for all the suggestions. We plan to implement the following changes in the game rules, to take effect within one week. Our goal is to ensure the game has a proper resolution, and to be fair to the community of players. Keep in mind that these rule updates are not final, and may change. TIMER DECREASE Whenever the timer passes an hourly threshold (e.g. 23:00:00), the timer will never be reset to higher than that threshold. So, if the timer counts down to 22:59:00, and someone buys a pixel, the timer will be reset to 23 hours instead of 24. POT DISTRIBUTION Instead of selecting the last pixel to win the pot, which can be exploited by bots and scripts, we will instead use a lottery system. Furthermore, we will hold many lotteries so many players can win a piece of the pot. Each time the timer passes an hourly threshold, a lottery takes place. The lottery selects one pixel from all the pixels purchased since the previous lottery -- this pixel's owner will receive a percentage of the pot. When the timer eventually hits 00:00:00, the final lottery is triggered and the winner will receive 100% of the remaining pot, and the canvas will end. Remember, these changes are not yet live. We are currently working on it and we will let the community know when it will be released. We think this will be fair to the players while still keeping the spriit of the original rules.

Actually, it is for my friend. He registered on eosauthoriy, but did not save his private key. So I am not sure how it can be retrieved again

if you mean he did the fallback following the instructions on eosauthority.com and didn't save his key, he' can just do it again and it should come up with the same key

Secondly, is it a key you had to derive from a mnemonic seed? If so, remove the "0x" from the beginning.
