The closest thing to a paper wallet is perhaps an eos account whose private key(s) were generated on a device with no networking capability. With eos you must have your public keys on the blockchain, because accounts are used, rather than simple addresses/public keys.

Eos uses WIF beginning with a '5', nearly always 51 characters (apparently not always, interestingly). So it sounds like you've a valid private key. This isn't enough though. You don't have an eos account until you create one on the blockchain, specifying your public key(s). So if you generate your eos public key (beginning 'EOS') from your private key, you can then create an eos account with this public key. A new eos account must be created by an existing account. There are services for this if you don't have an existing account. Eos uses owner keys and active keys. You can set both to the same public key if you wish. Another relevant fact is that you can change your keys as you wish. So if you weren't happy that your keys are secure you can generate and use new ones.

The 51 character version is just the WIF, Wallet Import Format. Private keys which are 256 bit, 64 hex characters can be converted to the WIF.

So long as there was an outgoing transaction from your ethereum address before the snapshot, you can use your ethereum private key to generate an eos private key to access your eos account. Put your ethereum address in at eosauthority.com and see what it says.

Am I right saying that a successful dapp, like eg pixels, which manage to cumulate large amounts of tokens, being open source etc, can still act malicious by replacing the contract at some stage with one which would send all the tokens to themselves and dissappear?

They are VERY good, but there is done functionality trade-off on eos at the moment. Keeping savings on ledger is a good idea. Eos has so many safety feature capabilities mentioned in the whitepaper, most of which haven't been taken advantage of yet. With time it'll come.

2. Ned is an egotistical douchebag possessing barely enough intelligence to see past his next interview having the singular mission of creating a one-trick pony blockchain to serve as his personal echo chamber. I logged into my meet.one app today to find that many of the free airdrop tokens had been trasfered to newdexpocket and sold for eos. and that my staked eos was in the process of being unstaked. i tried to transfer the unstaked eos (5) to find san error. After showing some ppl in meet.one telegram group it was established my private keys were changed. Furthermore i discovered an app i had used is currently being "investigated" for being a scaqm from the ios itunes store.

No, that's not what it's about. Staking is locking up your tokens (it takes three days to unstake). You can stake them to CPU and/or NET, which guarantees you use of those resources proportional to the amount you've staked. Furthermore staked tokens give you proportional voting weight, to vote for block producers. It's also now possible to lease your tokens for a return.

GPS, barometric altimeter, heart rate sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and depending on workout type maybe even voice feedback via siri, use all the sensors you got and cross reference them via some ai algorithm :)
