I think traditional kyc is a bad idea for eos . Eventually some Govt or central authority will threaten a group of devs and they will release a list of names to whatever Govt or tax authority . Totally agree with your concerns re EOS. The hardest thing about getting in the EOS ecosystem should coming up with a 12 character name when signing on to EOS portal/web UI. The 'portal' itself should have eostoolkit/scatter/greymass functionality. the keys should be generated, stored, and all the send, recieve, stake, retrieve your keys buttons should appear.

Rex encourages people to stake, vote and stay involved in the community. How does Rex encourage whales? Neither bitshares or steemit we’re kyc . I think uri is a bad idea. It is not my responsibility to solve inequality. It’s your karma if you are born in a place with limited resources not mine. I can volunteer my resources to help if I have any but to be forced to do so by an arbitrary rule change that I oppose is not right. A side chain devoted to uri where kyc is mandatory might be a good idea but to turn eos into a welfare scheme when this was not the original intention will turn off many investors who hoped for bitshares 2.0 or the next steemit .

Hardly worth the hassle. 2. How is this voluntary ? Dan wants a 5% wealth tax and no generational inheritance. How does he enforce this without engaging in coercion ? This is a nonviolent group so how do we maintain that 3. People will not sell their uri immediately. They will wait 6 mo. How do you know that ? I was involved in ubi blockchain called manna . Price is nearly zero due to constant selling pressure on the coin . Rex is less problematic as long as their is no mandatory kyc . Ppl are incentives to stake and vote for a dividend . 4. Kyc - is problematical as in who maintains these databases and how do we ensure that govts do not come into possession of the kyc list ? How do we know we aren’t all turned in to our respective Govts? Someone from a country where crypto is illegal would be at risk in such a case. What if hackers get ahold of the list ? It's not an arbitrary rule change, it would be voted on like anything else. Nobody is forcing you to do anything. If it does happen, it would be because an overwhelming majority will want it. This consensous model isn't meant to "please everybody" now is it?

its not possible to not taint your coins anyway, and i agree we ned privacy sidechain to tumble those coins. Worth some cpu, why not. Second its suposedly talking about 4% inflation, not tax, its voulantry since there is 5% in the paper.

We still need to be mindful of issues like privacy which come into play with mandatory kyc and also many have different concept of property rights than dan. Luka has suggested a privacy side chain to tumble uri coins. That’s a good idea . I was encouraged last year at start of the ico to buy eos by tdv and Jeff berwick mostly on the basis that dan was an ancap. This is a big change regarding property rights that will take time to digest.

I think he is cappable of a lot more than bother himself with stupid dice games which copy each other. It's natural, one app is successful, that creates competition, and the easiest and cheapest way is just copy it. Nobody will sue you as the operators hide themselves and avoid jurisdiction like the plague :)

No. Bancor protocol advantage is that you eliminate spread, trading fee.... but if you set a POT when you deposit the fees which you distribute to others it creates incentives.

Try turning off your vpn if you use one . NordVPN interferes with accessing scatter on some sites for me.

Cpu gets used everytime you send a transaction... if you want to see how much is used per transaction, just look at the amount you have used right now, make a transaction, then check again

Not the most knowledgeable on Vchain these days but I don't see much being developed on there. All I've seen is partnership announcements. EOS just wrapped up one of the largest hackathons in London over 500 devs iirc. EOS has one of the biggest communities next to ETH that I have seen in the space.

What are your guys thoughts on the BPs?

Some bp that in my opinion are doing great works and showing caring for the network and are not getting the votes imo they deserve, while some others appears from the shadows with shadow votes and start collecting rewards, i think average user have not starting voting yet, imo they wait for a trust method to move, stack their tokens. i have trust in b1 vote more than shadow whales will do for the benefit of the network, also i have trust of a more simple governance once steemit 2.0 is out, plus eos community have great members caring to educate and bring value to eos. not just that sidechain are an important part of the whole eos network too imo :)

I never used any wallet after mainnet launch, basically just checked on eos flare to see if my tokens were on the network and it had showed that they had been transfered out of the account to.account BITFINEXDEP1, when I tried to login to my account via simpleos to save my airdrops atleast, it told me that my public and private keys don't match, so I'm assuming I got fake keys from the get go during registration to my mew wallet

Hi, you can check your EOS token situation in eosflare.io or eospark. If they are stake, then you need to unstake them
