I tried to copy an article to trybe, couldn’t get the title and picture working, the whole design of it is cheap looking imo, but still I’m happy to forget about that, so I submitted my article and it disappeared! Like 15min of copy pasting down the drain, I also accidentally deleted the first one I tied to do so all up wasted around 30min trying to get something on there, I love the idea of it and that it’s running on EOS but it needs lots of work

Think, Everipedia was the first to get VC funding and later the joined forces or invested in a EOS BP so I would imagine there is incentive for them to deploy on mainnet.

You mean the block.one website I think. They've not released a wallet yet aside from the command line cleos. They will do, but there are plenty of good wallets around in the meantime. There is even support for Ledgers now (but not for all transactions). You're sensible to be wary because there have been some scam wallets, well at least one on the iTunes store I think.

With real spam you have to deal with cleaning out your mailbox, it costs time, imagine how rich you would be now if every email spam would pay you 0.0001EOS. Here it just accumulates, there are block explorers which let you hide small balances, and I am sure wallets will implement that too if it gets out of control, which I don't mind as it is free money.

Pic above. In EOSflare the spam messages you're talking about appear as 'TRANSFER' with the amount on the right, and the memo beneath. These ones are coming through as 'broadcasts' without any funds. Been happening since about 22 September.

They are exploiting it. One can argue that he made a mistake and forgott to fil in the ricardian contract field. But once it becomes mandatory, you can accept that when there are some random characters that this was made intentionally, or there will be at least some inovative writing.

i theorize this is a super important topic. if RAM prices are high, it really scares away developers and businesses. but am i over valuing the issue of RAM... dunno...

I am sure Dan knows that mass adoption can only come if people get free accounts and free accounts is only possible with enough amount of ram upgrade.. Big dapps still need to wait for a massive ram upgrade to migrate or make a fresh start on eos... So let's see when Dan gets time to bring it up.. Yesterday tron's Justin sun twitted that after their tvm activation, it will be 200x faster than eth and 100 times cheaper than eos and dapps can be built or migrated to tron after that.. So I hope Dan and BP can realise that all those copy cats will be providing similar services for 100 time cheaper costs and it's free to create accounts on those copy cats.. My concern is that it's a battle of best tech but to reach the aim of mass adoption we can't expect people buying accounts or devs thinking of which platform will be more affordable for their dapps to generate more profits.. The only option people should get is Eos and that's only possible if we eliminate any of the cost issues which can be used against eos..

The chrome extension was fast, loose, worked good, and it offered a nice backup option. Then the limitations on it were realized and they developed the desktop version which is FAR superior and WAY safer. So they stopped developing the extension. The desktop offers backups too, automatically for any updates now also. It's simple
