We have a lot of headroom right now with some knob turning, so I don't see it as a major concern but definitely something that needs to be monitored and planned for closely. There has been a healthy amount of interest in performance lately, both within B1 and in the general community.

When u speculate on RAM your were expecting to make a profit didn’t you, which I believe some did. Most speculators will know that it goes both ways, which you can also make a loss. Lesson learned, move on. 🐯

The logistics of what you're hoping for would be a complete nightmare for anyone trying to distribute a token on the eos platform. The problem is that you didn't have an eos account with a balance until recently. Going forward you'll be eligible for a lot more airdrops/grabs.

Right, RAM could be unstaked and liquidated into EOS, transactions are still free. I agree that a developer needs to buy a lot of RAM upfront to kick-start their projects and getting users on board. Hopefully, community votes URI, it will help to solve many issues including this.

Your EOS will remain in your account and any future airdrops that use updated snapshots will send you their tokens. You will basically be using the public key(s) assigned to your ledgers “path” to reassign your existing accounts active permission. After doing this you’ll see any and all accounts linked to the public keys you used on account permissions pop up in Bloks desktop under “wallet” and select “ledger” tick box after you connect ledger of course.

yea, you don't get an airgrab as soon as you grab it.. you just pay the ram to add your account to a table in the contract, so that when they do airdrop it, they won't need to pay the ram to add your account

As far as I'm concerned all BP types are paid well. That's hundreds per day and you'll have to take into account future eos price. Amount of standby BPs are enough. There are only about 6 chinese BPs.

More often, efficiency is better and I think we're a little overestimating with the 1%. It's already more than enough. You put more budget and it will result to more manipulation or corruption or collusion. If chinese BPs are a problem to you because of that existential threat, they might only just multiply since they already have the upper hand when it comes to voting BPs.

Why 2%? For now 1 % is good if we increase the rewards we incentivize BPs to buy votes and vote trading. By limiting rewards to 1%, we limit the such expenditure of BPs. Also we do have many standby BPs, getting more paying standby bps (by increasing rewards) would mean more sock puppet BPs.

the best security you can have is to have your accounts active permission be different from the owner permission and then log into tools only using the private active key. If that gets compromised you can quickly change your keys using your offline owner key. your tokens will be nice an organized in your single account. you can view that account with a block explorer by searching the account name on bloks.io and viewing the balances if you don't want to use a wallet now.

I heard the remainder of the pot is being used for round 2, the Hayek experiment. I agree that changes made during the game was a bad idea, and the devs took part and profit in the final pot. I think they should remain sidelined instead of bumping the pot forever with their bots and winning the pot for themselves when they already get a cut of the key sales. That's a conflict of interest for sure, and looks terrible.

I find that in the blockchain space, quietness is most often due to uncertainty to when a product can be finished/released. In b1's case, apple's verifcation process may be the big uncertain factor I think...

Cool.. check out the greymass wallet. You will be able to stake within the wallet.. Staking gives you bandwidth on EOS to make transactions. You will see a tab in the wallet to "update staked EOS", you will just type in the amount you would like to stake to CPU and NET. stake more to CPU than net. https://github.com/greymass/eos-voter/

a lot of unofficial announcments or "rumors" as they're called are bad for business. You see it in other blockchain managment all the time. EOS and more specifically, Block.one are far more careful with their announcments and as an "investor" (which isn't really the right term for members of the eos community) I couldn't be happier. The ICO took a year. The name auctions are 1/day if you're lucky. The best things in life take time to develop. EOS will moon if that's what you want to hear, but don't quit your day jobn just yet. Sleep well knowing you can enjoy a rise in EOS soon enough.

I think we're all ultimately very hopeful and excited in the long run :) I think the desire for more communication on dapp progress and timelines through a more official channel outside of Telegram messages is reasonable, although of course we aren’t owed anything... but it would be nice. Waiting in a fast-moving market is unsurprisingly rather difficult. But something tells me that the patient will be rewarded ;)
