I went through this new proposal and I feel that current governance is horrible... People don't want to vote.. Maybe Rex is good reason to vote because of passive income... In all the situation whales will rule the governance.. So it's better to let BP take decisions as they are technically more superior than normal jack and Joe.. Although there is small possibility that BP can misuse their powers but they won't mess up their reputation doing that... And whales will vote them out if BP tried to misuse their power

Rex will get implemented as soon as it’s ready. Whatever the turnout is , it is. In theory, anyone can make another proposal at another time. What I think will happen in practice is we will simply operate as is and everyone can continue work on building the awesomeness. And that is the right position for Mainnet at this time.

RAM issue. I have noticed that a number of my accounts have consumed 99.9% of my RAM. I have staked 100% of my tokens so I’m unable to buy any RAM at the moment unless I unstake which will take 3 days. Is there any other way to get more RAM without spare EOS? I cannot even claim dividends from BET to buy RAM as I have no RAM to claim. Any ideas? Any idea what has suddenly consumed all my RAM?

Voting being compulsory I imagine would lower the quality of the vote. Voting being optional should have a higher quality of vote. Voting being optional for a group who have opted into the system should have an even higher quality of vote, all else being equal. (Of course all else isn't always equal). Voting is not a pretty thing to deal with.

I thought this was interesting... Cancel Brexit is now the biggest parliamentary partition ever. It has just over 4 million signatures The estimated population of the UK is 66 million. This equates to just over 6% of the population taking action in what is the ‘biggest’ ever. In order for the UK government to have to debate a topic in parliament, a public petition of 1 hundred thousand is needed. That equates to about 0.15% of the population.

Don't forget a large number of those names on the petition are fakes and duplicates. They should focus on a deal for our exit.

We don't know for sure, but it's expected there'll be a few things, including a social network, easier onboarding of new users and a wallet of some sort. Dan has been saying the marketing will be "beyond anything seen in crypto". A roadmap with details is expected sometime in the next few weeks.

Quite a different story last time, though - a mixture of scarcity created by people moving tokens off exchanges, the expected windfall from being in the genesis snapshot, and finally finished off with the usual FOMO created as soon as the price started to go up from those other factors.

If the exchange was hacked (and I don't think it was) the answer would be to keep control of your bitcoin keys and possibly try decentralised exchanges rather than centralised ones. Did you fall for the phishing scam? Never trust emails, particularly if you weren't expecting to receive them or if you're not familiar with the sender. Also don't click links in emails. If they're attempting to direct you somewhere, try to arrive there by other methods, and with some research rather than clicking the link. Always try to get to stuff yourself rather than clicking links. This goes for web browsing too.

I think the big release is Shelley which will enable decentralization and smart contracts. But no one has a clue when that will happen. Maybe end of year. But I think EOS is still superior however Cardano will have its own band of followers. Cardano is my hedge against EOS if they stuff up for some reason.

Remember they are bringing a POS consensus blockchain with PoW-like security. Nobody has done that yet. Ethereum is trying but is years away. EOS uses DPOS which works differently

How many tps they promise

Mainnet will do about 500 with sharding scaling horizontally. But sharding is years away. I don't foresee them achieving what EOS is after. They'll find their own niche with people believing Cardano is more decentralized. Ethereum was $1500 at one stage even with only doing 14 tps so tps is not directly proportional to value

if you’re trying to lose weight it’s helpful for the times you need to eat some junk food. for whatever reason, the calories are pretty low compared to other fast food

It’s not the calories so much as mystery meat and other ingredients
