Not to get in a stellar debate, but what can it do, that EOS isn’t/can’t

It's quite different. It's a decentralized open orderbook- all stellar Dex use same order book. Different use case to EOS. EOS can run real smart contracts which stellar can't.

No. It is fundamental physics nonsense. Any such system is useful for good coverage, but massively wasteful of spectrum, and requires large power to use. multiplexing via fiber will always be orders of magnitude cheaper and orders of magnitude faster.

Right? The reason I hold EOS and have decided to learn as much about it as I can, is because it has a huge heard start. And not only that, it just kept running laps around ETH. It is MORE decentralised than POW. It has a GREAT community. It has a LOT of opportunities for people in terms of jobs, creating businesses, investing etc. Also, Pepsi makes bottled mineral water. EOS is a platform in which you can create a new financial system, or at least play a big part of it. There is no escaping this. Not only all the development being done in EOS, but look at what investing companies are doing. They are ALL going in. I read RECENTLY in a Norwegian newspaper that the oil fund (that owns 1,5% of the world) has invested in cannabis stocks for 6 years. Only NOW mainstream media writes about it.

Exchanges don't built different EOS accounts for their customers unlike other cryptocurrencies. They have one account and identifiy the number of tokens transferred using MEMO.

No one knows for sure but it involves Block one making major announcements in Washington on June 1st. Dan Larimer: “When the time comes our marketing will be be beyond anything seen in Crypto.” Now in bear in mind Dan is without doubt in the top 3 contributors in this space and Block one raised more money last year than any IPO let alone any ICO. But the price in 2019 has outperformed most in top 30-40, its only behind BNB and Litecoin who have had or having their big news. The scope of this could be gigantic and be so big that it benefits all of Crypto. They will do this by incentivising new users to come over. How? Enticing user to free money and free use of services, those services need to be better than their current centralised platforms to retain them. This will be done by: Release of block one wallet, Bio metric (face or finger private key grandma can use it) Massive media campaign to onboard millions of users (Brock Piece been predicting in 2019 one Dapp will have a million users) on TV, radio, internet the works Universal Basic Income - Think how paypal Started $10 free if u send an email, same thing probably here with coming from Block one’s 10% allocation. Release of Meos, social media platform air dropped to holders, EOSX exchange. All these features incl in one place - the wallet. Maybe also Steem 2.0 airdropped. They have been working on unique user so that one person cant claim 100 free $10’s achieved via fingerprint, face. They are already top of 3 different Crypto ratings. Fundamental Crypto Asset Score, Wiess and the Chinese Governments. So whether you love or hate it (90% of folk hate lol or indifferent), this will blow up in June and before as the build up is often bigger. Even if Block one release a ton of turd (which i highly doubt) there's a lovely trade to be had prior.

Never heard @daniellarimer saying that, only “experts” in this channel. Ideas get copied. There is a lot of bitcoin in all the altcoins. You never hear here that stellar copied ripple or bitcoin was copied by litecoin/bitcoin cash/bitcoin SV. Tron is good for EOS, competition stimulates the market. ETH was the alpha male as dapp plattform for years before it was practically killed overnight by EOS. EOS has to prove its dominant position on a daily basis, and it ain’t always sunshine and lambos :)

Block Producers are run by people, people can change their minds, when changing their minds to, for example, accomodate a better understanding of reality, and people can be moved by the right sentiment when changing their minds, allowing them to be better people, to work better and to serve others better. Sticking to their "Pledge to the Default Constitution" just because that's something they said in the past is stupid. If they think they will be serving the community better by changing the constitution to the EOS NY EUA then they should do that because they are people that are alive and that have brains functioning in the present. 17-25 support EUA, but as any standby moves into 21, it pushes out a BP that's already approving the MSIG, so it's kind of a wash unless a whale votes for that whole block of BPs/Standbys or a BP deeper into the 21 votes for MSIG or falls into 26th place

Just all speculations for now but API would take care of censorships. It's pretty easy to censor single domain then multiple domains with showing the same data. Eurochain (#EOSIO code fork) is working on GDPR.

My big question is not so much censorship but anonymous surfing. How are people in China and Iran and other countries as well going to get around going to jail for where they go on the Internet. More to the point in China for example you can't even get to Facebook, twitter or the upcoming MEOS. It seems to me this is the biggest issue of our times. 👮🏽‍♂️🧕🏼

Yes and I own substratum but unfortunately it seems that they have completely tanked. I am not sure why because they had a demonstration which was very convincing of bypassing the great firewall. creating a truly decentralized system is chasing rainbows in my opinion (wheres the decentralized model in nature?). For me to be comfortable with a 4 node solution though, i would want a function that i could call on demand, for any node, that cryptographically proves that node is executing the executable it released in its repository. Too easy to play games otherwise.
