okay. let's say you're right. the thing though is it's not a problem. it's just dan dividing transactions into smaller ones (actions) to make transferring of value from one account to another to be multitudes of times more efficient and faster than the utxo model. that was made like that so that some actions won't need for the others. that's not our problem. as long as we're fast that doesn't matter. and on that steemit article of blocktivity, it did say they're including those "events" as operations.

the same case can be done for EOS. you can create a action that does the same and you could argue that EOS would be doing only 1 action. The difference is that if you do it per tx then you pay fee. On EOS is free.

Why Collateralized Stablecoins like DAI will be the first killer DAPP -Fiat in your bank can be confiscated or siezed & sending fiat internationally is often slow, expensive & complicated. So use case 1 is just having saying 10% of your fiat balances in collateralized stablecoins. Use case 2 - Once more commerce is blockchain based, businesses will be able to use stablecoins without being exposed to volatility but still creating demand for the platform token like ETH. (Because DAI is collateralized by ETH) So I hope we see EOSUSD (backed by EOS) as a matter of priority. (DAI has already taken 1.6% of all ETH out of circulation and it’s barely getting started)

BitUSD was less liquid around the peg, DAI is basically an improved version (by Rune) but Dan can even improve on that. They are over-collateralized (unlike Nubits which in many ways had low/no collateral.)

When I claim dividends from BetDice -- it automatically claimed at once from EOS + 12 other tokens. So, it was counted as 13 transactions and I spent all my CPU. I had my CPU complete unused and after 1 claiming from BetDice -- the whole CPU was spent; I got a bit of CPU from Emergency, but that's not enough to do all my desired transactions for Today. I just Today realized that every time I claim divs, I spend a lot more CPU since is for EOS+12 tokens. Lesson learnt. Any chance I could get delegated a few? I need to run 4 more transactions. I will know how to deal with claiming the divs for the future...

Some token-holders holders together with some current BPs are proposing to use a referendum to "validate" the current ECAF representatives. A referendum is the process normally used to effect constitutional amendments. The reason for this is to make it difficult to change constitutional provisions because they are fundamental to the effective governance of an institution. Accordingly, any suggestion to use a referendum to validate ECAF must be seen for what it is: an attempt to make it difficult to remove a centralized entity that is neither accountable to token-holders nor to the BPs who can be easily punished (and thus controlled) by token-holders. Voters should be asked if they want a centralized and unaccountable body to be the final arbiter in all disputes on a decentralized global platform. Keep in mind that many BPs who want to see ECAF succeed also do not want to be held accountable for the actions of the same ECAF they are promoting with their mega votes. When key players call for a WPF that can be easily depleted by whales and exchanges when they can create decentralized Kickstarter-like platforms where token-holders can freely contribute, one can easily conclude that the greater motivation is immediate personal benefits, not long-term community benefits. B1 should be ready to use its votes to protect the community.

Blocktivity relies on the various community members of each blockchain who create APIs to feed data into the site. We absolutely need to start counting operations if we want to measure these dapp blockchains properly. Hopefully the community members who maintain the Eth API will start counting ops instead of transactions soon. So we can compare Apple to Apple.

Well interestingly if you batch transactions on ETH you don’t actually save much on gas. For this reason I don’t think it’s a very commun practice. It also has some downsides.

It's centralized and locked in as the default, there are even BPs calling for ECAF to have enforcement powers again other BPs. What is happening as it stands is that BPs follow orders from ECAF, those who don't get called out for not following orders.

In Tezos the more tokens are staked, the less each stake receives revenue. This mechanism protects price from rapid dump. No motivation for users to unstake cause it will give other stakes (users) more revenue (like miners in bitcoin and difficulty calculation). Is it possible to implement it in REX/EOS somehow? The new B1 wallet with Rex should allow users to use EOS without staking. The needed transaction resources will be charged as a small fee and the fee will go to the holders that stake their EOS in Rex. Hi David. I would love to do more....but.....my account A: I had some liquid EOS so went to Chintai and no problem leased those for 7 days. Have unstaked some more and plan to lease in 3 days when available. Account B: no liquid EOS so went to unstake......not enough RAM Account C: no liquid EOS so tried to unstake but the irony is I have insufficient CPU 🙈 (haven't transacted on this account for about a week) we live and learn

It's choreographed fud commissioned by rival blockchains (if my memory serves me correctly there is a strong ethereum connection tied to this report). At the end of the day EOS is a distributed ledger/database underpinned by block producers. You can easily view historic transactions. Unlike Bitcoin if you lose or someone one steals your private keys you are categorically fecked. Eos offers us safety net for this.

On the the plus side, if you prefer other systems, you actually have Dan to thank for saving Ethereum. MKR is the most valuable DAPP in the world based on a design Dan invented and it’s already locking up 1.6% of ETH supply and rising fast, so really it’s Dan who invented the first killer DAPP that will have mass adoption and save Ethereum. Hopefully we get a version on EOS soon too

Yeah I hope they remove that, if DAPPs want the power to interfere in token restoration you can sign up for that but I don’t think that should be at protocol level. Given Dan’s recent interest in privacy coins, I hope he is veering away from an identity system too
