Yeah a lot of research on your part. It's good in a democratic perspecrive to stake EOS because you are voting for bps who secure and produce blocks on the network. Also as your EOS are staked they are off market therefore you are contributing in increasing demand therefore making EOS more valuable. Soon you will be able to stake and lease the resources that your EOS tokens entitle you...this is upon the release of REX

A Telos stated aim has long included attempting to flatten the distribution curve that the founders deemed undesirable in the EOS. The argument that made many a capitalist uncomfortable around mainnet launch was to prevent a chain launch that is overly controlled by too few parties. Not whale proof, increased resistance to the system being gamed is the theory. Examples being that inverse weighted voting makes it much harder to set up controlled sock puppet BPs that take revenues and cross vote. I would prefer to see Telos take vote weighting up to 60 from 30 as the network expands to add further resistance to this.

Let’s move away from assuming whales are bad, I do not believe that the cap on the Telos distribution was implemented with that assumption (with hindsight). I can’t speak for the founding team but believe it was to start with a more even distribution due to concerns about over concentration and hence centralisation of voting power during the raise.

Not really! I'm not talking about exchanges. From our analysis there were around 550 accounts more than 40k tokens and only a few of them were exchanges. But I get your point. But without those 2 exchanges it's already 40+% of voting.

While it is obviously a very admirable thing to donate to charity I am not sure how much it helps the growth of EOS to publicize such a small donation of approximately two thousand USD fiat or 0.000005 % of rhe four billion USD raised in the EOS ICO. Yes, this BP did not receive 4 B. I get that. But I hope you get my point. If the goal is to donate to charity and not promote EOS, then donate the money and don’t announce it on social media. Image is perception, perception is reality, reality is truth, and truth is stranger than fiction. I believe in EOS and own some that I have held since Oct. 2018. I am not a BP.

I agree, but I also believe it'll have some sort of impact on the price, it's stability, and liquidity will be affected once people freeze trading temporarily. There will be a pump and dump or a dump then pump....but the overall good and longterm awareness this will bring will be worth doing, however it'll most likely be overshadowed by the price action.
